It depends what you mean by sound, cartoons before it, classed as 'Silent Cartoons' were often accompanied by music, either an organ or a piano, Steamboat Willie however was the first to use sound that accompanied what was happening in the cartoon, as apposed to just music.

Glad to hear the possibility of a micky mouse comback that mickey mouse clubhouse show makes him look like an idiot and it kinda pushes down his fans in realaizing that their idol is a role model for 3 year olds but besides that I can't wait to see if this rumor of a comeback is true or not we might have something good to whatch on disney channel instead of seeing hanna montanna all the time :P
