The song is "Happy as the day is long" and was written for a Cotton Club show by Harold Arlen. It was recorded by Duke Ellington, in New York, on Brunswick May 9 1933.

Another great contemporary recording is Fletcher Hendesons, also made in NY, september 11 1934.

Now I´m asking: Can anyone tell me anything about the band that performs in the video?
