  • This is the first vinyl that I bought, sad life isn't it.

  • The Lovely Bernard Cribbens... ah, sweet memories!

  • Cribbins rules!

  • No it should be the hole in my ass! lol

  • Cool video! i made one too: my youtube name is jammydodger717

  • BRILLIANT!!! But I do prefer right said fred

  • So there was I, digging this 'ole... Thank you so much for posting this! Bernard Cribbins is one on his own and one of the best.

    .... And that's that :)

  • the one and only bernard cribbins. now this is a guy i would love to meet and shake his hand. he's one of the few remaining old troupers of his generation. i love both this record and ''right said fred'',they bring back memories of more innocent times. bernie played a great part in 'fawlty towers' as the wrongly identified hotel inspector. may you be around for many many years bernie . you are a real star..

  • wooh!

  • Hahahahahaha funny song!!

  • show a eastblock how to do it and welcome to the new eussr

  • The records did well in the pop charts, and were often radio requests. The top ten charts featured so much more variety back then. Monologues, rock and roll, broadway musicals and classical at times

  • brings back some memories ,, would like to know what B C was like in the parachute regiment..... i guess he was a joke a min

  • Bernard Cribbins is a legend! Check him out in the new Doctor Who as Donna Noble's ol' grandad. Break your heart he's so luvvable!

  • I hear fans of the show want ol' B.C. as the new companion

  • I always saw the man in the bowler as more Richard Stinker Murdoch than John Cleese.

  • I just picked the first pic I could of a "man in a bowler hat" ....it just happen to be John Cleese.... and he kinda looks "grand and offical" in that pic

  • Fan flippin tastic i say, and Bernard Cribbins did all the original voices for the wombles in the 70's...

  • Another one of Bernard Cribbins' claim to fame was as the station master in the Railway Children. He was actually very prolific in the 60's but seems to have faded into obscurity somewhat now.

  • Obscure apart from his recurring role in Dr Who, one of the primetime shows on BBC at the moment

  • Yeah I know mate, forgot about that at the time. Not really much of a fan of the new Doctor Who, sorry.

  • Love this song1 And Monty Pyton, and Fawlty Towers...lol

  • Bernard Cribbins was in Dangerous Davies the last detective, in the 80's. Peter Davidson reprised the role a few years ago.

Great song, trying to find the chords, so I can play it on the ukulele.

  • great stuff - my dad can sing it word perfect, is bernard cribbins still alive and does anyone know what childrens television programme(s) he narrated?

  • He is still alive! He's playing Donna's grandfather in Doctor Who.

  • thanks

  • He was also the voice of ALL the Wombles !!

  • Bernard Cribbens was in the Fawlty Towers episode of the 'Hotel Inspectors'.

  • aint never passed a hole being dug without singing this ... lol

  • I wonder how many people who's job it is to dig holes sing this song???

  • omg i love this

bernard cribbins!! voice of the wombles and was in fawlty towers :)

dont dig there dig it else where

you're digging in round and it outta be square

  • well he was in many things in the 70's

even in one of the Doctor Who movies

and he apeared in the last Doctor Who Xmas episode

  • lol i wouldn't know, wasn't alive in the 70's xD

jus an obsessive fawlty towers lover :D

and the wombles, well everyone knows that haha

wow i didnt realise he did so much i thought he was i dunno one of those that didnt do alot

  • he pops up from time to time... even seen him in some sort of made for tv detective film...

sorry can't remmember what it was called tho...

as for "Fawty Towers" the only epiode I can remmember was when he beat up his car with a branch... that was funny

  • The guy beating his car with a branch was John Cleese. Bernard Cribbens was never in Fawlty Towers as far as I can remember. LoL

  • The guy in the bowler hat in the vid is John Cleese.

  • yes sorry that i didn't make myself clear on the branch thing... and as for the man in the bowler hat i thought that if ever there was a proper vid to this song John Cleese would have fitted the part...lol

  • hahaha he does a bit :)

fit the part that is lol

  • yeah he was, he played Mr Hutchinson the spoons salesman or something, in the episode "The Hotel Inspectors"

  • He was in fawlty towers - basil thought he was the hotel inspector and he was just a fussy travelling salesman who was booked into the hotel

  • Long before Peter Davison and the tv series, Bernard Cribbins was in a fairly dark version of Dangerous Davies - The Last Detective.

  • Takes me back to the days of Ed "Stewpot" and Junior Choice.

  • Bernard's top man

  • Cribbins is the man! ...and that's that.

  • could you say that again?

  • Cribbins is the man! ...and that's that.

  • lol

  • nice lol

  • thanks

  • ahahah

  • That was pretty funny. Gota love British humor.

  • british humoUr ;)

  • lmao

  • Brilliant songgg!!!!!! loveee ittttt

"dont dig there dig it else where" love it

  • thanks

  • gay

  • well i guess you didn't like it then....lol
