the plastic cards are going to last longer but its easier to do flourishes and tricks with normal cards....atleast for me....

I have DaVinci's Copag's Kem's, and Gemaco's. I have to say The DaVinci's are my favorites, then the Kem's. I also use my Copag's pretty often.

true.. plastic playing cards are good for playing games, but they r not smooth and slick. Normal cards are good for magicians and XCMs, but plastic are just good for playing games

Plastic cards do not fan or spread well at all. Plastic cards are absolutely good for party games and private poker games ETC, but for magic (like what I do) I CANNOT use plastic cards. I use Bicycle decks from Ellusionist with a uv-500 air flow finish. They spread and fan like a dream.

@CipherMind117 i think that the finish they use on the tally-ho is a little better, but i agree, plastic is crap for magic. i dont use anything but bicycle for magic, which is great because they make the air-flow, UV-500 and lenoid (i think thats it) finishes. they are the top three.

They are all high quality cards, but Copag has been used in the World Series of Poker.

kems need to be in near perfect humidity and temperature conditions. Ive had 6 decks all have warped or turned brittle. Ive had 2 decks of Copags and one is still in the wrapper because i havent even needed the second deck yet. been over a year.

@TastefullyDriven i have a deck of regular cards and my 2 of hearts is creased. me and my brother like to play cards sometimes but now we know whenever the 2 of hearts pops up. do you know how to fix this? i am going to buy some plastic cards eventually but i still would like to have a regular deck of cards. if you have a solution please reply. thanks

How come normal playing cards are better for magic?

they are more durable and you have more control over the cards. Plus, with a plastic deck, you can not do a thumb fan if you're into that display. The plastic deck will only cause restrictions and force you to get used to the feel of the thinness of the deck so whenever you handle a normal deck of bikes your hands won't feel right. Normal Bikes are the best for magic. Tally hos, vintage design and original bikes are ideal for magic.

i agree, plastic is easier to clean and use but i would think that regular Bicycles are the best if your are interested in card tricks or things like that.

I prefer using Copag 100% plastic playing cards for playing poker. I bought my first Copag deck one year ago, and still playing with them(about 5-15 hours every weekend).

For magic I would recommend using normal playing cards.

Two very popular plastic playing card brands that Tastefully Driven carries are Copag and Modiano cards. Other brands also include KEM, Fournier, and NTP. Hope this helps you out.

well i knw that if you crease a platic card it will have a huge mark so will noprmal cards but plastic is ppretty bad with that but usally magicians will get the others for magic tricks but yeah plastic last longer i knw this cause i bought 100% plastic cards but im not here to debate which is better casue they are both better in diffrent ways thx for video :)
