Really the damage is already done and the trailer is now in need of total repair or needs to be crushed, what difference does it make if it lands on the other side? As long as there is no people or equipment.
Also the left side was already damaged/ripped from the top frame from the initial crash, not from slamming it down while recovering it.

That's repairable. mainly roof work. we had a driver cram one under an 11 ft. bridge & we had it repaired so comparedto that this isn't so bad.

Of course i wasn;t there, but to me, it looks like that trailer suffered most of it's damage during the recovery..
Isn't there a way, to put the lifts on the sidebof the equipment being lowered?
Seems they work great to provide lift, why not use them to slow down momentum too?
Or is that really a possiblity in most rollovers?
