And you need a good balance between your car's weight, power, and grip .

Also a wide and low car, hard suspension, autoblocking differential and others like the tires, power steering and so help ..

IRL drifting consists in pushing your car tot he limit and keeping it there, you can do that by using a combination of the 3 main drifting techniques .

-car acceleration

-braking

-and counter steering

RWD helps, in my opinion all wheel drive cars are the best, its hard to push a 4WD there but when you get there is absolutely fabulous, you need some serious power to get there and hold the drift in 4WD .

This is all you need to know and practice .
