  • greatest fight I ever saw. I was 11 and this was my first PPV. Turned me into a life long boxing fan

  • that's what i call boxing,fucking beautiful.

  • BOWE TALENT TALENT TALENT WHAT A WAST 6'5 235LBS TRUE HEAVEYWEIGHT...BUT LAZY....I REALLY LIKE SEEING BOWE FIGHT.....ALI-HOMES-BOWE...

  • @JFDEZ599 I liked him too, but he dodged Lennox Lewis back in the day, never understood why.

  • fuck holyfield is a warrior, hes like a gladiator.. this was riddick bowes best performance, his punches sound so much heavier than holyfields.. it was all down hill for bowe after this fight

  • thanx for sharing. great fight!!!

  • was this the fight where holyfield had hepititis A

  • the year i was born

  • David Haye Really Wanna Fight With Him!?? HHAHAHA

  • I believe holyfield would have given any version of tyson a good fight.....I don't know if would have beat young mike but young mike would not blow him out......holyfield could handle any fighter of any era because he's cut from a different cloth.......he's a warrior

  • Bowe was a beast...oh yeah except then he turned into a bitch when he wouldnt fight Lennox..and then he became a crossing guard lmao!!

  • @raider101416 Lennox is the one who made that fight not happen

  • one of the best fights havy waight ever seen

  • @fadethetrade

He did NOT lose every round.

    86-88 Douglas

    88-86 Tyson

    87-87

    Thats the actual scorecard.

    @89RealThe

  • @CheckHooKz Yeah well, That's because scorecards ALWAYS give the edge to the popular champion as oppsed to the unknown hack contender. For the most part, Douglas dictated at that entire fight.

  • @CheckHooKz The judges who had it for Tyson or even were Japanese and the Japanese were very pro Tyson so the sentiment was with him. The US judge was less star struck.

Larry Rozadilla 82-88 | judge: Ken Morita 87-86 | judge: Masakazu Uchida 86-86

  • @CheckHooKz I had Tyson losing every round of that fight except for the knockdown round, and at the most I can see him getting 1 more round. Outside of that he got dominated. The judges scorecards are a joke, and they were giving the benefit to the money fighter.

  • If holy fought this style against the 87 tyson, tyson would have scrambled holys brain and holy would have done the berbick shuffle just like berbick did.I saw a very suseptible holy against a blown up cruiser named bert cooper.Tyson of 87 would have certainly rang holys bell and made him on queer street.

  • Ha, a little smirk from Evander @ 1:53 after Michael Buffer announced "undefeated, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world"

  • yeah but tyson never got to become the heavyweight slaughterer.

mismanagement. he would have smoked every1 if cus d mato didnt die in 86. but he did, leaving a strong and fast tyson to deal with shit himself. downfall. boy was gifted atrributes didnt flower though, didnt bloom.

  • @shizlgizngar Truestory

  • Tyson bashers love to sit on tysons losses and surmise these two guys would have beaten any year tyson. Not true.I feel tyson of late 87 would have been too fast for bowe to get his game plan going. As far as holy, any holy before 95 gets ko'd but the smarter holy of 97,tyson would have to be much faster and pivot off of the rushes holy did to him.I think tyson had enough in his fire power and accuracy , back in 87 ,to force holy into a war.

  • @LIVINGONTHEDOLE I once read an article in a boxing magazine back in 1991 and actually it was the same article in ring magazine that picked tyson in 8 vs holyfield had their fight in 92 happen. They still gave tyson his due credit even after the douglas loss, they felt he still had enough to put evander into compromising positions and turning it into a war but this article stated that the Duva camp and most other trainers and fighters all recognized tysons decline when he fought bruno in 89.!

  • @LIVINGONTHEDOLE You're spot on.Tyson declined after he left the damato/rooney camp.then he had the car accident with his wife in late 88 screwed his back. In a rematch with douglas,he would win because it would be impossible for douglas to get up for the rematch like he did for the first fight and he would be experiencing a totaly different tyson.Instead of douglas getting pulverized, holy did it for tyson.I think tyson should have beaten douglas in a fasion like holy did ,3 rounds.

  • These are "set your pace" style fighters. Not a good formula for success against the late 1987 defensive/offensive wiz of 21 yr old tyson.

  • The tyson of late 87 would do a Cooper on this holyfield and would outpoint this Bowe, against bowe the late 1987 tyson was too fast adn wouldnt have been bothered by the bowe and holy power, which wasnt that big.

  • Do you think you can start uploading vids in fullscreen?

  • riddick bowe tenia mas buena pegada..!! y holyfield la rapidez!! yhea

  • It's true that an in shape Bowe probably would have dominated the heavyweight division. But he wasn't, never was. Tyson did dominate until he got to the elite level. I was an adult and watched all of the heavyweight fights from the end of Ali's career up to the end of Holyfield's career. Holyfield was the true champ. Always in condition, always fighting bigger boxers and although there were times he got beat up, especially in these Bowe fights, he never quit. A true champion.

  • i fuckn hate joe cortez!!!!!!! always getting in the way

  • Bowe has an amazing jab.

  • holyfield was smart and used masterful defense with great hooks you cannot hate the man for using his head you do what is natural and thats just what came to him when he was FIGHTING bigger stronger guys trying to knock his head off his shoulders what would you do oh yeah thats right you dont box because you dont know what it takes to be a champion and stand up to someone that says he can kick your fuckin ass!what do you think he should do?IT DOESENT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!YOU THONG WEARIN FATTYs

  • just being bowe at this moment......lol.......got love george !!!!

  • Best fight of all time, hands down. Fight of the century, rumble in the jungle, and thrilla in manila can all take a back seat to this war.

  • @bigmoney749 yeah right. this is like a low A level those 2 fights you named had better fighters and was big...

  • @thamostgangsta12 I named three fights. I guess that shows how much you know about boxing.

  • @bigmoney749 Why are you changing the subject to my boxing knowledge? I know about those Ali-Frazier fights and even Ali- Foreman, Evander Holyfield is a pretty entertaining fighter but those 3 fights you named are better than any holyfield fight ever.

  • @thamostgangsta12 I've watched the Ali/Frazier fights and the Holyfield/Bowe fights. Sorry, I understand the historical significance, but the H/B fights are more exciting...

  • Dammit u gotta love Holyfield

  • shiiit!! i could fry some plaintain on evander's forehead wots all dat grease doing there.

  • i think evander brought the best of bowe out...i really thought bowe wasn't on the same level as holyfield but he pretty much was in the 2 fights

  • Riddick Bowe is massive niggar

  • Not only does pre-21st Century Holyfield beat ANY version of Tyson...

Early 90's Riddick Bowe also beats ANY and ALL versions of Mike Tyson.

    Deal with it.

  • i agree, did you know holyfield beat mike tyson TWICE in the amateurs as well as the pro's. Tyson was great and close to unbeatable at his hey-day but holyfield always had his number

  • @reno573 holy never beat mike twice in amatuers, tillman did but tyson was robbed in one of them fihgts for sure. holy and tyson never fought as amatuers.

  • @mallafets TYson sparred with holy and lewis in 1984 and ringside people state they were both draws!!!!

  • @KillaL0

pre 90s Tyson beats everybody in Boxing history! Deal with it!

  • @Ahmet1445 I remember thinking how easily tyson would beat these pretenders to tyson .That just wait for iron mike to get out of jail and clean up these bums.I remember how easily tyson beat spinks but today I have my doubts about what I was thinking.Could these guys have beaten any tyson of any of his best periods??? I mean tyson lost every round against douglas and holyfield in 96. sometimes I wonder were these guys really better????

  • @fadethetrade You can stop wondering. Yes, they were really better.

  • @afterapplepicking I still don't believe a late 87 tyson would not seriously test both these guys.

  • @fadethetrade After Rooney left Mikes power, speed, accuracy and stamina decreased drastically. He thought he is "the chosen one" no matter who is training him how hard..... But i think between 86' - 89' Mike was showing the best and exciting boxing a human beeing can deliever!

  • @pagomon I see tyson of late 87 as his best ever.it was long enough into his championship reign having gone thru all the tests of undefeated boxer who ko'd douglas and tough exchamps,he also didn't get sidetracked with his focus yet then when he met his wife and got more involved in don king and further away from rooney and the camp around march 88 when he got married so that's how I base my opinion . The late 87 tyson would be the one to pit against the ali's,lewis and holmes of their prime.

  • @pagomon well said ...Mike decided to listen to Don and put " yes men " in his corner an from then on his skills deminished. Sad what happened to him...bc 86-89 Tyson was virtually unbeatable...Imagine "IF" Cus was younger when he found Tyson. I See Tyson beating almost any heabyweight

  • @fadethetrade No, these guys weren't better lol. Douglas' win was complacency combined with ridiculous inspiration. Holyfield beat Douglas in 3. Tyson went on to ko his next 2 opponents and beat Razor Ruddock twice (1ko). Holyfield beat a 44 year old Foreman, a clown named Cooper who battled him early, a 42 year old Holmes, before this fight. Most Holyfield fights during this time were decisions. Tyson Holyfield was the 5th and 1st real fight after 3 years in prison. As for Bowe, good question.

  • @hmfmi How do you see the late 87 tyson against lewis of 2002.

  • @fadethetrade Tough to say. I honestly think Tyson was unbeatable back then (before dropping Rooney). Lewis had such technique and used his jab so precisely in the era you mention... but Tyson would slip those jabs back then and counter with thunder... in combination. Additionally, Tyson would actually go to the body back then... Perhaps I'm biased but I tend to think Tyson would have won... perhaps convincingly.

  • @hmfmi TYson was unbeatable not because of his power or speed,it was because of his defensive first posture. All the other opponents couldnt get a fight plan going because tyson was too elusive and his counter combinations were so accurate between 86--88. That was certainly a very difficult tyson to beat.

  • @fadethetrade Agreed. & Rooney (and obviously Cus) was instrumental in that - slipping punches, peek-a-boo style... That all changed after the Bruno fight in 89.

  • @hmfmi You know,it actually changed after his fights with robin givens in late 88 after leaving rooney..By the time he fought bruno in 89,he looked too smooth in his muscle ripples. Its amazing how fast his body showed his lack of training properly. In the alex stewart fight,I saw a glimpse of the 86-88 tyson in his muscle ripples again and his attack was astonishing.Even Merchant made an astute comment in the stewart post fight stating he liked tyson when tyson looked like a light heavy!

  • @fadethetrade Tyson was never the same after prison, he even admitted he was just smoking weed and more just concerned with the cash that came with the fights than winning.

  • @89RealThe but he lost every round vs douglas before prison.ANd a fighter who defended his title 9 times and loses everyrouond the next fight, something was wrong with him before jail.

  • @Ahmet1445 Tyson nuthugger says what?

  • @KillaL0 bahahaahahahahahahha

  • Tyson could have been the greatest ever if Cus would have been around another 10 years. Tyson annihilated both Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks both all time greats in their own right.

  • @robzrx7 Holmes a 38 year old washed up ex champ looking for a payday, and Spinks a frightened pumped up cruiserweight with a knee injury. Tyson was awesome although the quality of opponents during his reign was not the best. The 90's were much more competetive.

  • @MOSTechnology Holmes washed up? if the 90's were so competitive then Holmes wouldnt have defeated an undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist in Ray Mercer in 1991. He took Evander Holyfield the 12 round distance in 1992. He lost a very close decision to Oliver McCall (who happened to knock out Lennox Lewis) in 1995 @ what? 45 years old? In the 90's the Heavyweight division was going down hill fast... Michael Spinks was undefeated and had never even been knocked down let alone annihilated

  • @wFVIPU9GBSEIPBPWbipe Exactly. Holyfield was 6'2 and 205-218 pounds! That is not small. 200 pounds and up is big.

  • this is 1 of the greatest heavyweight fights ever..

  • No dislikes here. Thats right

  • God I miss those days when heavy weight boxing was everything there is. From the time of Ali, Holms, Spinks, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, and then there was nothing, the klitsko, Oquendo aren't anywhere near those guys. I don't even want to know what's going on now in heavy weight boxing. The only thing exciting to the ordinary person is Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather, the rest are obscure names.

  • bowe is a fucking idiot. for a man with his reach, jab why the hell he chose to fight a smaller guy on the inside. He got punched unnecessarily. Look like how wlad fought. Also for a man of his size i expect bowe to have more power. The way he fought, he is commiting everything into his punches is pretty risky.

  • @johannsebastienbach haha dont make us beleive your stupid. The idiot here is Holyfield he should've outboxed Bowe there was no way Bowe could've outboxed Holyfield even with that jab. He worked better on the inside thats why he won.

  • Where's fan man?

  • @ggrum Fan Man dropped in on the second Bowe/Holyfield fight.

  • Bowe could have had a more extented career if he took his conditioning more seriously.

  • Tyson would've smashed holy before prison

  • @lakecora23 i agree and he couldve beaten Bowe too.

  • Bowe looks so big and strong in this fight.

  • Some idiot messing about on my pc :(

  • Your all going on about how good they are or arnt. It only takes 1 shot off any of them big black apes to put you on ya ass. Fact.

  • great fight...bowe is fighting smart longer arms but shortening his punches up on the inside n taking his time to get the cleaner more effective shots.

  • the fuck happen to holyfield he should have stayed outside

  • Das waren noch Kämpfe da ging es um anerkennung und nicht um geld guckt euch die klitschkos an bekommen nur fallobst hingestellt hauptsache es kommt geld rein

  • This version of Bowe would have given any heavyweight all kinds of problems.

  • @mp4vids It's too bad that this Bowe was only around for like ten fights.

  • @mp4vids problem aint the word..he wouldv most likely ko them quite easily..

  • Best heavyweight fight ive ever seen aweome ! Great Great fight....

  • Evander got some skinny ass lightheavyweight legs. I guess Evan Fields helped helped him with squats....

  • now this how niggas fight

  • Evander "The real deal" Holyfield is the true champion of all time

  • Great to see a crystal clear version of this...

  • Lol today we dont have boxing like this, we have MMA with tattooed rednecks rolling around the floor. What a sad development.

  • I've watched this fight so many times. I think it's hand down the best heavyweight fight of the 90's.

  • @capablemachine

It is UNQUESTIONABLY the very best heavyweight fight of the 90's! Next is Lennox Lewis vs Holyfield (the second one, not the first).

So the common denominator is Holyfield, even if he did LOSE both fights.

Bowe vs anyone else, not as exciting. Lewis vs anyone else, not as exciting! When Holyfield was there, it's exciting!

  • @fred19992010 That's because he always came to get it.

  • @capablemachine

But I still think I would have beaten Holyfield in two rounds, even in his prime.

  • Guys, I promise im going to bring the heavyweight division back to it's glory.

  • these fights just don't happen anymore! Boxing is just full of crap today, a bunch of little mexican midgets, the boringass klitchkos, pacquiao, just a bunch of garbage. Gimme the boxing of the 80s and 90s, Tyson-Ruddock, Benn-McClellan and of course Bowe-Holyfield. The only good thing about boxing today is a 48 year old Holyfield! I can't wait to see him again in the ring in November!! I'll be cheering for him. God bless the Holy Warrior!!

  • I don't know why people bother ranking the heavyweights. Different eras had different styles and the fights that occured were a handful of possiblities at fighters various ages. I just appreciate them for what they are and wonder about the fighters stories. They all have failings and sometimes it's a small decision that can change a fighter from a big name to a no one.

  • Why isn't heavyweight boxing like this anymore?

  • @liljoerox

Because boxing declined in popularity over the years and those kids that could have got in the gym got on the basketball court and football field instead. That and you've to break your fucking back for 3 years before even looking at getting a title shot these days, then even if make it big you might not be making any money[Sergio Martinez]. Boxing is just a lot of bullshit with big risks and only promoters get rewarded.

  • @tdk813 In boxings golden years fighters would go much longer than three years before getting a title shot. The rest of your statement is just too ridiculous to even comment on.

  • @NLR884evr

There weren't 4 major titles then.

  • @tdk813 There's not four major titles now; it's just alphabet soup. The only title that has any merit of distinction is the Ring Magazine title.

  • @NLR884evr

Like it or not they exist, I feel the same way.

  • @tdk813 What the hell is up with Kelly Pavlik? He pulled out of his bout with P. Williams due to staph infection and pulled out due to injury of his ribs in a scheduled bout with Vera on the Pac/marg undercard. Do you think Kelly can reestablish himself in 2011 or is he washed up?

  • @NLR884evr

Honestly, I think Pavlik's time in the spotlight is over. He's had numerous setbacks and tough losses. Not to mention that he'll never leave Jack Loew and Loew has no intentions of making him a more versatile fighter. I think he'll have a few more fights against lesser opponents then lose against a top middleweight or super middleweight.

In other words; he's washed up.

  • @NLR884evr i know you just posted this 5 months ago but i think pavlik was never that good, he was just the best in a weak division. The lack of energy and over all lackluster style that hopkins brings these days is enough to beat you and your significantly younger and less battle weary? Pavlik is either finished w boxing or gonna lose a few more and then be finished.

  • this fight is one of my all time favorites, just an all out war

  • Holy Sh*t!! I forgot how good this fight was

    Thx 4 the upload

  • Perfect picture quality!

My second favourite Heavyweight fight after FOTC.

  • Riddick had a great right uppercut when his opponent slipped to the inside.

  • this is one of the best fights ever, holyfield with a big heart and riddick with his own power...

  • Both undefeated going in

  • Evander Holyfield is my all time favorite fighter.

but he should really retire, he's just destroying his legacy by doing this =[

  • @TommyGun7111 he just won the WBF title, so not exactly hurting his career my friend

  • @jhazemusic

still, a title is a title.

I know he won that linear title from Botha. Nobody cares. He's technically not even a 5 time champ.

But he is a 4 time champ, so he does have a great career, and great skills, resume, acomplishments, etc. Bowe and Holyfield are both great either way.

  • This has to be one of the best fights.... these two guys were a great match for each other.

  • Thanx for posting! Post more great boxing fights if you can! :)

  • Larry Merchant talks a lot faster on these older videos. Nowadays when he actually does say something, he speaks a lot slower, like it's always something really profound. Anyone else notice that? I'd like to add that Bowe at this stage was a beast!

  • You have to note that Merchant is now 18 years older, so he isnt able to talk so fast anymore.

  • You are correct, he is older. But it also seems like he only adds comments that are really profound, or "deep". I like him, don't get me wrong. Just an observation.

  • OK.

  • @greenfruitface

cmon merchant is 20 years older now, it is normal and human that hebecame slow

  • Holyfield is a warrior

but I'm not sure why he went slugging with bowe like that.

I'd rank Holyfield #7 or something like that. he is most certainly a top 10 contender though.

  • Holyfield needs to be in the Top 5 . Why ? He fought anyone & everyone who wanted a piece PERIOD ! Tyson, Lennox, Bowe, Morrison, Forman,Holmes, Thomas, never ducked anyone....was a always a true sportsman......dont judge him based on his beliefs or personal life. Your a boxing fan.....and Holyfield did his job ......

  • top 5 heavyweight is questionable top five ever is out of the question.

  • I'd rank Holyfield top 10.

Top 5 is being a little too generous.

  • Comment removed

  • LMAO 7.27 Joe Cortez trys to get them to stop and break and they just think *fuck it* and burst into a brawl LOOL quality!

  • Holyfield was all fighter. One of the best if not the best small heavy weight of the last 25 years.

  • @MrTimnaik I would go beyond saying he was "the best 'small' HW of the last 25 years.

Evander was a Heavyweight, period. Most of your great HW's of all time, weighed the same, if not less than Evander's usual of 210-215lbs. I wouldnt call Evander small. He may not be a goliath like Foreman, or Lennox, but small doesnt fit here

  • @MrTimnaik And we can probably go back more than 25 years trying to find a HW as complete and skilled as Evander Holyfield. Lets look at it just from the standpoint of when HOly started fighting as a Hw (1989). From 89-present, I cant think of any HW as complete and consistent as Holy. Now, go back before 89. You might not find anyone after LArry Holmes as a true dominant HW. (85-present, ok 25 years) Now we're able to throw Evanders name in there as a matchup vs most any all-time great.

  • All fighter and the best person...

  • Just read some of the comments below.

Bottom line- Holyfield was a more complete fighter and proved it many times over the course of his career. He probably rates in the top 5 all time, whereas Tyson wouldn't break the Top 10.

  • Holyfield top 5 all time? Your being too generous. George Foreman, Muhammad Ali, and Joe Frazier all hold Tyson in higher regards than holyfield.

Hell, George Foreman ranked Tyson as the 7th greatest heavyweight of all time and ranked Holyfield as 9th or 10th.

I'm sure that these aforementioned gentlemen know a bit more about boxing than you do.

  • @Torus21 Do you happen to know where he ranked Ali? I've heard he ranked Lewis No.1

  • I think Foreman's rankings were: 1. Joe Louis 2. Jack Johnson / Ali (tied) 3. Lennox 4. Marciano 5. Frazier 6. Dempsey 7. Liston 8. Holyfield 9. Patterson 10. Don't remember Keep in mind that these were just his heavyweight rankings, not his P4P rankings. He was humble enough to not mention himself in these rankings cause he didn't want to seem "arrogant".
  • @Torus21 The amazing thing is, there are people who'd call him arrogant. After all he's achieved!

  • Look how Holyfield struggled with Holmes, but Tyson knocked him out in round 4 before Holyfield got to him

When Tyson beats him "He's an old man"

When Holyfield beats him "Look at Holyfield the warrior".

Currently Floyd Mayweather is facing the same type of shyt from boxing fans!

  • tyson never fought against holmes

    is it correct?

  • @thodone

    Tyson knocked Holmes ass out.

  • @MikeTysonEatsKids

He knocked an ancient Holmes out who hadn't fought anyone for 3 years.

  • @Christofides1

    So did Holyfield!

Holyfield didnt knock him out he actually had a "war"

he also had a "war" with another old man named foreman.

  • @MikeTysonEatsKids

Yah I know lol, was just saying :D

  • Great fight. Do not get me wrong, I am a huge Holyfield fan. I am also a fan of Tyson and Lewis as well.

I hate when people discredit any three of them! They all were great in there own right in different ways!

Some of the guys Holyfield struggled with, Tyson killed within a round!

Guys like Tillman, Stewart, Thomas and Tillis Holyfield gets all the credit in the world for, but Tyson fought these guys at a younger age and beat them and gets no credit.

So lets be fair here guys!

  • Tyson vs. Holyfield in early 1990s would have been a fantastic fight. Had Tyson defeated Buster Douglas, an undefeated and very skilled Evander Holyfield would have been waiting for him. A fight of that magnitude is hard to predict but I think Tyson would've won in the mid-late rounds. Holyfield will land many punches on Tyson, but Holyfield was still more of a cruiserweight at that time and so his punches are relatively weaker. Tyson had great chin as evidenced by fight with Ruddock.

  • Finally! Douglas vs. Holyfield could have been a great fight, but Douglas´s hunger for victory (as when he KO´d Tyson) was not there... here, Holyfield finally meets a man who is desperate to win...

  • Michael Buffer rules.

  • I wish I was still in the 90's. I'm getting teary eyed watching this fight and thinking about the heavyweights that are out there now. What heart these guys had! True fighters!

  • Both of these guys lucky Tyson was in prison.

  • jsheng319

Holyfield certainly was or he'd have had that hiddeous animal bite earlier. No matter, Holyfield would easily defeat that overrated and overhyped savage Tyson once he came out.

  • @Panthera0nca

Tyson spent 3 years in prison with no training, no proper diet etc.

He was NOT the same as he was pre prison!

I am a huge Fan of Holyfield, But i think Tyson would have given him a much harder fight in the early 90's!

  • MikeTysonEatsKids

He defeated Frank Bruno far quicker after he came out than before he went in, Tyson was put down for the count of 10 in Tokyo pre prison too but I'm sure you'll come up with another excuse for that.

Nobody ever makes excuses for the likes of Holyfield who had injury, sickness, personal tragedy, divorce, change of manager/trainer etc, etc, etc.

  • @Panthera0nca

Ok I get that but Bruno was scared shitless just like Seldon and Mathis. Holyfield was not!

Nobody is making excuses for him. I am just saying the guy spent 3 years confined in a prison without physical activity and that HAS to be factored in. Why can Ali get away with it as an excuse even though he was free and able to train?

Have you been to prison? do you think they let you spar 15 rounds/day?

eat steak and pasta for nutrition? let you jog? let you hit the bag? etc

  • MikeTysonEatsKids

Have YOU been to prison? most people have to go to WORK everyday which is draining enough.

Tyson had 2 and a half glittering years where he beat mediocre opponents in a sensational way. When they upped the level of competition like an inform James Douglas or true greats like Holyfield and Lewis the Tyson just wilted.

  • Obviously you have never wnet to prison and have never boxed!

Do you know what type of training a fighter must go through?

Do they let you run, hit the bag? follow a certain diet etc.

all these are things Holyfield, Tyson etc put them self through plus they spar. Tyson went without all of that for 3 years. When he was past his prime, that when Holyfild beat him. When he was in his prime, he beat the same opponents Holyfield beat only in better fashion. True Heavyweight Fashion,

  • MikeTysonEatsKids

You idiot - Tyson got knocked out BEFORE he went to prison too, how many times do I have to tell you that?

You're one of those bores that thinks all there is to boxing is punching power and knockouts. There is a lot more to it than that, something that Tyson soon found out.

  • @Panthera0nca

There is no reason for Tyson to get no credit for destrying an opponent that Holyfield struggled with. Lets be real. Holyfield never really did what a heavyweight was supposed to do. He never clearly beat any top opponents with the exception of maybe Foreman (OLD MAN), Holmes (OLD MAN), Michael Moorer (One Hit wonder), and some tough contenders. How is that different from what Tyson did?

Lewis was better and Tyson was better.

  • MikeTysonEatsKids

Tyson gets loads of credit...for being possibly the greatest heavyweight puncher of all time and the youngest ever world heavyweight champion. Is he the greatest ever heavyweight? NO WAY.

Holyfield beat UNDISPUTED champions like Douglas, Bowe and Moorer not the part 'champions' that Tyson beat. Holyfield thrashed Tyson too and remember Holyfield didn't even fight the first half of his career at heavyweight. Yet all you do is excuse Tyson.

  • @Panthera0nca

    Okay, Where do I begin?

First off can you nonestly say that Holyfield was an undisputed champ like Tyson? NO.

Holyfield NEVER Unified the title so where the hell are you coming from saying Holyfield beat undisputed champs etc.?

Douglas never unified, Moore was a partial title holder (He beats Holyfields ass the first time too), Riddick Bowe did nothing but Beat Holyfield in his career. What else did Bowe do?

You live in some kind of fantasy bubble world dude...

Tyson was undisputed champion, Douglas knocks him out and then Holyfield knocks out Douglas - Holyfield was then UNDISPUTED champion. Riddick Bowe was undisputed champion when Holyfield beat him.

Werent you the one who said that Holyfield unified it? He did not.

I was just stating that Tyson unified it. Holyfield joust won all three titles in one shot. Then went on the struggle with Foreman and Holmes (oh yeah, he fough a War right?)

Then he lost to Riddick "Why am even Here" Bowe.

    Then the loss to Moorer.

If Holy did not have Tyson's name on his resume he would be in the same class as Bowe,Moorer, Mercer, and Mccall!
