Anytime you sing on stage live, you need to have the awareness of what your movements look like. It can ruin a song. Singing and acting are not that different, esp. not when they're live! Yes, her voice is spectacular, and her emotion is fabulous, but all I'm saying is that she moves a little too much here.

Yes, anytime you sing or act on stage you must be aware of your movements. I am completely aware of this. I am a second year Theatre stream University student. However, this is meant for the sole purpose of being a song. Not musical theatre. Her movements were not distracting. That's the main issue. When movements become distracting, then it becomes a problem, however, what you are seeing is not distraction. You are seeing passion sir. The type of passion that makes performances worth watching.

It's not my intention to be rude, but I consider her movements distracting. I don't mean her Janis Joplin-like movements at 4:08 to 4:11, but some other repetitive movements with her hands and movements with her body. It's not like it's written in stone what we're supposed to think. I have been studying acting from professionals all my life, and I grew up in the theatre. It doesn't matter what your background is, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
