With all their technology, I don't see why they would need to create humans to harvest gold to save their planet. Look at all matter. It is made of different parts. Take one or two away and it can't work. H20 is water, but if you take away the "H", you no longer have water. God is the element, the force, the thought that makes it all work. By itself, the universe could not work the way it does. Proof of a god is in the atoms. You and I are proof god exists. Take away Hydrogen and we'd be dead. Take away Oxygen and we'd be dead. God may not be Oxygen or Hydrogen but could very well be what makes them work.
You and I are not proof that god exists. We are proof of millions of years of evolution. There is no definitive proof that god exists - if there was then everyone would believe in it's existence- so therefore it can't. Furthermore, if there was a "god" then we would have no need for so many different religions. Because everyone would have the same "proof" that you have of the existence of "god"!

With all their technology, I don't see why they would need to create humans to harvest gold to save their planet. Surely they would have the technology to build machines that could mine gold much faster and efficiently without all the hassle of unruly humans. They could build machines easily. Humans would be like babies requiring many years of nurturing (teaching us language, farming, harvesting, etc).

religious debates are ultimately pointless, and neither side wins. in order to debate the existence or non existence of either, you need proof, which neither side has. but as for the 'commandments' and laws/guidelines that govern christianity and other religions, i feel like these are completely pointless and only pull an individual further from true 'reality within an illusion'

Don't think you can say there is no proof. God could be a passive god. God creates things and stands back and lets it do what it was created to do. good point, proof may be out of the question because of the paradoxes it creates. but as for the governing laws that God supposedly enforces and that society should live by is most definitely unreal, nor could there ever be an ultimate supernatural enforcer of actions taken by people. Hidden variable theory destroys the universal notion of a determining factor, for there is none. the creation of one would circle in endless paradoxes.

The more I look at things, the more I believe we are a creation of thought. God has created everything we think is real out of thought. Since we too are but a thought, we perceive this thought as real to us. A fantasy is a twist on reality. People can make believe anything they desire as long as they think about it. We know the fantasy is not real but in a way it is. Thoughts are created by the mind using all the atomic particles available. It is real even though there is no physical proof.

Lets say the universe is more physical than metaphysical. The universe works on a set of laws. Mathematically, you and I can calculate positions, weights, energy levels. We can analyze compositions. DNA has a code that when activated by the right circumstances, can create a living breathing and conscious organism. Everything in this universe uses basically the same stuff. Humans and their conscious ability is made of pieces of the universe. The universe is aware cause we are aware of it, GOD.

while i somewhat agree, you're running in a circle of paradoxes. saying the universe is more physical than metaphysical is clearly being oblivious. Mathematics can only go so far. example - although the schrodinger equation states that objects should exist in mutiple locations, a superpostional field, when we look at them, they snap into one location. that's a violation. I won't waste time with the other mathematical violations. and there is no we, the supposed 'we' are all entangled.

i do believe the Universe created life, which is discussed in the Big Bang Theory. As for consciousness in physics, it "messes things up" and causes tons of paradoxes. i was just doing some reading on it last night; consciousness has so much 'culture-voodo-religion background which makes it so hard to understand in a society way and scientifical. in fact in quantum mechanics, it tends to be left out of equations. they separate them, making two laws in the evolution of physical systems....

Look at all matter. It is made of different parts. Take one or two away and it can't work. H20 is water, but if you take away the "H", you no longer have water. God is the element, the force, the thought that makes it all work. By itself, the universe could not work the way it does. Proof of a god is in the atoms. You and I are proof god exists. Take away Hydrogen and we'd be dead. Take away Oxygen and we'd be dead. God may not be Oxygen or Hydrogen but could very well be what makes them work.
