Spinning your tires is a sign of bad traction I would say the factory did a good job on suspension packages on these late 70s corvettes even though they ride a little rough.But then the 60s were not the greatest in handeling I have seen stock 1979 L-82 corvettes run away from 62 corvettes in and out of the turns.However Im sure the 62 would take the 79 in a straight line pending engine combo.
