Not that realistic, if you have seen Saving Private Ryan, When he opens the door to the boat,about half the men in the boat died, about only one died when he opened it, other than that, it's a really fun game. Playing D-day is way more fun than watching it.

i remember playing this game when it came out, I had played the omaha beach level before I had seen saving private ryan and was like this game is awesome! then I saw saving private ryan and realized that they just ripped it off just like the first call of duty ripped off Enemy At The Gate's opening stalengrad sequence. But they're still fun to play instead of watch.
