hate to break to you man but nothing records in HDMi except for a thing that cost about 600$and not only that your computer wont even take that kind of image..but what u can do is get a HAVA hd wireless or a Haupppauge and Play in HD such as 1080p composite which is exactly like HDMI which i know because i have both and u get to play in HIGH DEF !!

You've made a BAD decision soul. USB is not the route you should go for video at ANY time. If they had a firewire version of it I would have chosen that hands down. Usb tends to slow down the transfer rate of information. If you can RETURN IT.

Please look up a firewire version of this equipment. I'm sure if dazzle does not make it some other company will. Sure it DOES the job, but better is better.

I got one by the same company but the big differences are mine doesn't require a computer to record, you can just put a flash drive in, and it has a firewire port. I think its by dazzle but its the Pinnacle Video Transfer. Nice because it records to MP4 H.264 for high quality

I use a camera, but its' the same thing. But I can't upload the videos to Youtube, I can't open them in movie maker, Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas 7. The camera saves them in ".AVI", some wierd codec thing.
