4:00 I love this reaction! I'm still sitting on my 14, Abacus and Parabola... waitin for the right time to crack them. I absolutely loved the 13 though, probably one of the most carmelly/toffee forward BBA beers I've ever had!
@blackhog42 I never had 13 :( But I cant wait for 15! Ive got a few bottles of this, parabola and abacus as well. FSW just is at the top of the game and for me probably the best brewery in the country right now
@BeerGeekNation Agreed, their big beers are untouchable! (and their union jack is one of my go to 6 packs) Can't wait for 15 as well, wish I could afford a few bottles of each vintage, but I always grab my single and hold onto it for a killer time to crack open :)
Just picked up a bottle today for $21 and it was incredibly worth it. This is really my first blended brew and I am floored. Floored. Firestone continues to astonish, and I am so grateful that I am just a 2 hour drive from these gods.
Im trying this beer along side with this video, and your totally right. I really culdnt find any words for the first few seconds after trying this one. A+ all the way. arguably the best beer iv ever had.
@SouthernOregonOrgani Im really glad to hear you liked this one. This is an amazing beer and easily in my top 5 beers of all time. Just so epically complex. I cant wait for their next batch of Parabola!!
I love your reaction when you first taste it, good stuff. Are you gonna do Surly Darkness any time soon? I had a chance to pick up a bottle when it first came out but I totally balked; I just didn't want to spend $18 on a bottle. Maybe that was a mistake haha.
@maidennh The Darkness is coming real soon I promise! Im probably gonna do it for my 1000th subscriber which is only about 200 or so away. Ive had it before and I would say that if you can still get a bottle its worth the $18!
i got a bottle of this and will be reviewing it sometime soon. if its as good as you say. maybe i wish i had more than one. im looking forward to it... did you ever have the 13th aniversery. if so, which do you like better? i can't wait... i want to drink mine right know...
@jjrudy41 Yeah if u can get another one get it!! THis will be a killer in 6 months or so. I havent had 13 but I hear it had more imperial stout notes then this one does.
LMAO, best reaction ever. I think you found your #1 for 2011 already.
I never thought of roasted coconut. I'm curious to try this. I heard if you age this it just takes away the sweetness.
Even though this whole "blended beer" fad is upping the prices, this is very much worth the $21-22 that it is. I'd even spend the money on it, possibly age one just to try it.
Right now the fad seems to be these big barrel aged beers but I can see these insane blended beers becoming more and more popular in the upcoming years.
This beer is so far ahead of all the other barrel aged beers. Blending might a "gimmick" to some but this beer proves that when done right you get something much greater than the individual components.
@StumpyJoeJr This beer was made by pros plain and simple. So much time and love went into this beers its ridiculous. This beer sets the bar on many levels.
LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BEER!! Never had to have the chance to enjoy the 13 but man, what a treat! It's The smell alone is enough to completely AMAZE let alone the taste!
I pretty much had the same reaction as you did when I first tasted it! Glad you had the chance to get to have this! CHEERS!
@monkeycaveman Yeah this beer is amazing among amazing beer. I havent had 13 but Stumpyjoe was telling me it had more imperial stout characters to it. I cant wait for 15!

I think out of all the Firestone anniversaries this one is the hottest.I think 6 months to a year would do it some good.

@odeed This is the only one I have had so I cant speak for the others but I for one cant wait to try this beer with some age on it.
