But once people started figuring out the strategy its fairly easy to beat. how you gonna stop a play to the SF if everyones double teaming the point. beating 1-3-1 is as simple as calling quick screen for your shooter. haha i have a feeling a bunch of people replying to this can beat you bro.

i play 1-3-1 alot, but i dont need to double team to get the same effect. I just guard the corners and let the computer guard the middle. Double teaming can work on mediocre players, but masters will eat it alive with skip passes and good outside shooting. It will be effective against people who pound the ball with superstars.

if your playing this type of dfense all u need to do is slow the pace. 1. space the floor 2. kick it to the open corners (because its a zone) where u can shoot 3's. if the player your going against is any good, he'll see what your doing and prob focus his attention on those shooters. if he doesn't change the type of defense, he'll prob rush to the corners real early, so take advantage and make some fake passes, and move the ball around everywhere and look for the open shot. the PF wont do shit

If u play on a hard difficulty after a while the offense will ajust to beat the Zone, dey spread the court so u shouldnt stick to it the whole game, give different schemes

@carstrucksfreebids yea some teams defense allows them to double team faster than others...for instance...a team ranked #1 in defense will move quicker than a team ranked last...then for some reason if one of the stars get hot kobe, melo, wade, bron etc...it wont double team at all or it'll come too late...2k glitches..lol

i figure it out had a freind who plays like that got steals on me evry play its a good D. but you have to run plays space the floor. since they love to follow where the ball goes i just sat there passing from side to side you know touch passing its always someone open wen playing the zone you just have to know wen to pass and take your time importanly.very good d tricky to play against but look carefully and at least one person will be open evry play

Great video... I love the 1-3-1 zone. But quick question. When u doubleteam do u do it manually with the player dt'n while anticipating with SF, or anticipate with nearest defender. Like sometimes it works other times there's wide open shooters. Where am I going wrong? And do you use the on the fly defensive strategy with this at all?
