  • @HandyBendyGandhi Thanks very much. I use a Roland Cube 80x, although this video was recorded just using a little Korg Pandora unit. I use D'Addario roundwound .012s. Some things to help get a nice jazz tone are: use medium or heavy strings, pick right near the neck, and don't pick too hard (let the amp do the work!).

  • Yep ...no doubt about it, that's a great tone and if I could play like that I'd be a happy man.

... and if you don't mind me asking - what amp and strings are you using ?

  • wow graham, you play great! You really swing and very soulful. so glad I found you.

  • I love the relaxed, unforced playing. Reminds me of Matt Otten and Joe Washington here on youtube.

  • Thank you! A good tone is a kind of holy grail to me - I'm still working on it!

You have some nice videos too - I just watched some.

  • @grahambop Good tone is all in the listener's ear! I'd say you got it!

  • just listened to all your videos ! very impressive ! and a tone to die for !

  • sounds great

  • Nice relaxed playing, lines, and tone
