holy cow. what a songversion. NEVER seen an SP change/interlude/mistake(?) like that. Nice finish for billy too. I was embarrased for the kids when this song started (too metalish for kids imo), but billy went wild at the end. really empha/deempha-sizing 'apart', like he was sending a deliberate, onstage message to darcy and james that whatever they were doing to split the band was wrong. really laying the satire on thick here imo. not holding back from in front of the kids neither. (O)
I dont know about anyone else but even though Ava Adore was really different then other albums it has its own appeal once you listen to it a few times some people seem to be so uncomfortable with something different.....
I never realised they fucked up haha, still, quick thinking on the part of the pianist. Even with the mistake, it is probably still one of the most kick ass versions of Ava Adore I've heard.
They were in a cheap and rough program in Brazil where people could understand nothing about SP. It is a shame a band perform for audience like this. The audience were students from public school.
I really can't see how so many of these people are standing completely still. That's probably the most rocking version of Ava Adore ever. Even though there's a mess up in it, it still works and adds to it. Unbelievable :)
agreed and he reminds me the singer of an animated band hiting strong here in Italy not being a million dollar production. Search for SWAVE IN THE FUTURE
@Mattoxicator Sorry to be that guy, but actually the whistling on Mayonaise was *inspired* by a cheap guitar, but the sound was re-created in studio. I feel like a jerk...
I saw them do this version live in 1999 at Tramps in NYC. This must have been before that tour, when they still had the piano involved, but had worked out the hard-rock version. An amazing track, and this different, live version is equally awesome. I really hope they (whoever "they" are--at least Billy and Jimmy) will play this during the tour.

It's funny how they called the band "Billy Corgan", cos by then it WAS his band. They did good, and they did it for the kids. D'arcy is so beautiful, i love when she gets into it and moves around
well the only reason they put that in there was because of the mishap in the song. one of em started playing the wrong part and the whole song crashed, leading to a crazy improv piano solo. billy even laughs about it. it's at like 2:00
LOL @ THE PIANO SOLO WTF

People always complain that D'arcy's mic is turned way down but have you heard her sing when it's way up?
I LOVE SP but, mayhaps D'arcy's singing should remain how it is.

This is without the great Jimmy Chamberlain the backbone of the band besides Billy....still better than most bands at half power than most

Well, remember he recorded Mayonaise on a dirt-cheap guitar, and even used its mess-ups to create awesome sounds in the song.
