I used to be a big apple fan when it came to music(not computers), but Microsoft changed everything. I'm no longer a drug trafficker, i'm no longer a prostitute. I'v stopped abusing my body with alcohol, and the psychotherapist says my mental health is stupendous, not to mention the crisp clear and nearly orgasmic media experience i receive from Microsoft's new Zune hd. Thanks Microsoft...for changing my life :)

Its superlight plastic and has one half the touches memory, and no app support structure. Seriously, I'm glad they crack this stuff out so Apple does not get lazy, but this is a day late and a dollar short. And in the end, who but Windows fanbois need a device that only operates on ONE os? I use three, and I like my music player to come with,

Tegra, OLED Display, HD video output, HD Radio, far superior UI and music management software. Hardly a day late and a dollar short. The Zune HD is actual innovation, unlike say, sticking a camera on something and calling it a day.

HD video output with cable, a $90 dock, and an HD TV. The Zune HD itself has a LOWER screen resolution than my iPhone.The software is debatable as Zune is Microsoft locked. no Windows=no Zune=No thanks. Nice if you want to be locked into a Windows only, single OS world and just pay them monthly forever. Though I admit I'm as puzzled by the camera nano as you are. Its a youtube toy for pre teens as far as I can tell. I use a 160 gig Ipod classic and a 32 gig iPhone 3Gs.

And I almost forgot, I got an iPod to get away from the commercial drivel of radio. Radio is almost as dead as television.

Well it's probably Windows only because Microsoft wants to promote and increase demand for Windows. They're trying to help themselves not Apple. And there's no requirement to be a zunepass subscriber. It makes sense for some people as an alternative to spending $1-$1.29 for a shitty 128k DRMed song. I also think having all your music disappear (aside from the "keep 10" stuff) after you unsubscribe is ridiculous. That's why I have my own 320k MP3 collection.

Also I've spent years using itunes and since switching to the Zune 4.0 software I've found it to be far superior. It simply is far better designed and has a lot of cool innovative new features. It's more than just a list o'songs with some shit in a sidebar. The Zune HD UI is also face meltingly amazing.

Paying $1.29 per song through Itunes equates to around 13$ for 10 songs, and so with zune pass your only paying 2$ more for unlimited monthly music PLUS those ten downloads. Sounds pretty sensible to me.

MS first copy Apple with the GUI now the iPod. They're copying Google trying to get in on the search engine racket just like they did a decade ago with browsers when they got everyone on a PC on IE.

I think the Zune HD GUI is completely different from iPod GUI. I think, instead, that it's a mix between the new WM 6.5 Microsoft OS and Windows Media Center. So, for all Apple fanboys, stop saying stupid things, like Microsoft is copying Apple and others.

I used to be a apple consumer but behind the popularity, apple just overcharges. Apple charges for updates, while the Zune updates are free the touch is just not up to par with the Zune HD. The biggest reason I left apple was the store, Zune Marketplace has made an excellent service downloading service for $15 and keeping 10 songs.

i really like the looks of the navigation of the zune hd. i am really considering getting one, although i have been an ipod user all my life. plus, i use a mac.

You will need to run bootcamp or some other windows emulator or whatever software if you do decide to get one. It's totally worth it in my opinion though.
