  • Thank you.

  • just beautiful

  • a faery music, by a faery Lady,

  • hey nice song and god play!

    greetings from germany

  • was that dark woman a black woman???

  • What a beautiful tune!

    Thank you :-)

  • I was so excited I just had to come back and tell you what I discovered today, that using fingers 4 2 and 1 to span those murderous distances is soooo much better than 3 2 1! I discovered it while learning Morning Has Broken from Kim's Hymn and Weddings book. Once I got used to it on Morning Has Broken I started doing it automatically on Dark Woman. Its crazy! Im having so much fun. Im still no where near as good as you on this piece. I come back and listen to you play often.

  • Your video has become such a great help. I can play half of the piece now!

  • I'm currently working on this piece. Any advice on those murderous left hand far reachers? I've been cheating a little and excluding the note played with the thumb in some areas.

  • You found out my secret...cheat, and leave out some of the notes. Hope we get to hear it soon!

  • Thanks! I don't feel like a "fake" harpist now! lol

  • I keep coming back to this. It's beautiful -just ordered the music from Sylvia Woods! I'm currently hiring a Clarsach from Pilgrim and eagerly awaiting my Malvern so that I can play with and without pedals. Can't wait! All your posts are fabulous and keep me inspired. Each time I start a new piece, I check to see if you've done it - which you quite often have. So now you have to keep playing, or whatever will I do?!

  • That is such a nice thing to say. Thank you.

  • i love your plaining. Beautiful! By from Italy.

  • You play beautifully.

Is that an engagement ring you have in this video?

  • I love your playing veryveryvery much :-) i wonder if my playing will someday sound as beautyful as yours, but sometimes it's quite hard without teacher or ability to read sheetmusic...play on for a long time, greetings from an inspired fan ;-)

  • Oh lord, that's one o' my faves!! I love it!!

It soo beautiful I can't belive it's played by mortal humans!!

  • Wow...there is a compliment. Thank you.

  • I keep coming back to this video just for the beautiful sound. I am now 4 days into learning to play the harp and even though I'm not playing like most people on here yet I am loving every little beginner tune I'm learning. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • Thank YOU. I taught myself with one tune that I found beautiful and inspiring...so beautiful in fact that I just Had to play it. It was 'The Queen's March', and it is still one of my favourites today. I hope your harping goes well. It would be super to see your progress on youtube some day.

  • lol I just posted my first harp video entitled Four Days into Harp Lessons. I have a looooong way to go.

  • Lovely tune - not heard it before.

  • Nor had I...but it soon became clear that it would be beautiful once I had played it a few times through.

  • very nice.

  • Muuhhhh I haven't played since... July.. I'm so sad. But this cheers me up and I'm still motivated to play, lovely folk tunes are waiting out there. Oh, if only I could find a place to play, in Belgium, orrrr a super cheap harp somewhere. Anyway. You keep it up!

  • I hope you find a harp soon. You play very well, and have a unique style.

  • It's good to see (and hear) you back! Hope you had a good entry into 2008. :)

  • Thank you very much. I hope you have a super New Year.

  • That's so nice - the sound from the instrument is simply mesmerising - I almost expected to hear a tin whistle enter for the final verse but ... it's perhaps purer the way you have it here. Very nice!

  • Enchanting. Wish i could play the harp :) Keep up the great work.

  • Thanks for uploading this beautiful song. It is very inspiring to hear and to see you play it.

  • MM Faeryharper,

Good work you put down on your harp! Kim Robertson has beautiful music and arrangements, I have books from her to. But her techniques are difficult. On this moment I studied the Arran Boat Song (arr. Kim Robertson), that's oke to practice.

    BB, Hildegard from Holland

  • Yes, this arrangement is quite tricky, but I'm gald I persevered. On to Carol Wood's 'Witches Tea Party' now...I may be some time!

  • lovely!

  • YAY!!! I'm so happy you posted again! :D

  • that was a beautiful song, thanks for putting it up, i was beginning to miss you.

  • Thank you. Having just returned from Scotland I felt quite inspired to post.

  • Lovely! I didn't know that song.

Happy New Year, by the way!!

  • Happy New Year to you too.

I rather stumbled across this song, thinking it was something else, but it turned out to be so much more lovely than the one I was looking for.
