It's funny but .... All the prisoners were shot from a German arms and German bullets. The prisoners were bound with ropes, which were produced in Germany, but in Russia these analogues were not. Two leading Polish experts and Olbraht Singelevich back in '45 proved that the Germans did. Why the Poles so it is like Goebbels' version of '43? Perhaps this mentality.

The Germans discovered these mass graves after a local who is still alive told them that soviets took many hundreds possibly thousands of Polish officers to nearby forest three years earlier, besides why would the Soviet union would admnit to it if they haven't done it?

If, in 1940, the NKVD would like to throw the blame on the Germans, they should have known that the Germans attacked the Soviet Union in 1941, the Germans occupied the Smolensk region, the Germans lose the war, and then Soviet experts around the world prove that these people were shot from a German arms. Poland failed when the Polish government fled the country. Polish gangsters organized sabotage in the Soviet Union. They had to answer for their crimes under the laws of the USSR. Poland has not declared war on the USSR. Therefore, the Polish military had the status of internment. Many have been released. But the Polish government has declared war on the USSR in November 1939 and they have become prisoners of war.

Your lies is disgusting. The absolute majority of deported Poles survived. Part of the Poles went to the West with an army of Anders. The other part went to Poland after the war. A third remained in the USSR. If your uncle was killed by the NKVD that mean that he was a criminal. He represented the danger to civilians. He was very danger for his neighbours indeed because he lived there all his life and try to protected his familly. But liberators from NKVD come and freed all country from criminals like my uncle and happiness started in Poland - We stay in long queues for bread 40 years after war. So much fun...

Jakoś Polacy nie zieją nienawiścią do USA i do UK a to w końcu "ukochany" Roosevelt i Churchill oddali Stalinowi w prezencie ziemię polską. My granddad was one of the handful which survived it (long story, he was running when the transport stopped on the way) but his soul died with his friends in Katyn. They were hunted even after the WW2 ended. Its a sad story, build on a lie and ten thousands souls... May their souls rest in peace !
