I love "The River". It is my favorite Bruce album. He was at the height of his greatness when he was around 30.

Bruce and E Street NOT on last legs as stated here. I just watched a half hour interview - he says SOONER than later they will be back on tour and said he will tour forever.

I can still remember seeing this song performed the first time in LA 11-3-80 and I couldn't stop crying through the whole thing. It has always been one of my all-time favorites. This one was amazing. The thought of the band being on final legs is just too much to bear.

They will be back, don't worry. Band always announce that they will split up or whatever before a tour to max out publicity and ticket sales. Bruce would not do it differently. I think though that they will take 1 year break. Bruce will write his book, Big Man will have time to do his physical therapy, and after that they're good to go! :)

@POINTEBLANC91 How ironic I would write that.....never had a clue I would end up flying from CA to Buffalo at the very last minute and shoot almost the whole show from row 2 behind the stage. A year later, I am still editing it, but now seeing it come alive. It was a fabulous show and still gives me shivers knowing I got there. Now, I am ready to do it again....back to 1978!!
