Bruce and E Street NOT on last legs as stated here. I just watched a half hour interview - he says SOONER than later they will be back on tour and said he will tour forever.
max weinberg jammin out! I love the E street band...I dont understand how more people dont love Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band...Greatest American singer/songwriters ever with an amazing supporting cast!
And I just wanna sleep tonight again in your arms... I swear I'll drive all night, again... just to live with you... cause you've got my...you've got my... love... heart and soul... you're inside me and that will never change... and I'm starving to have you with no barriers between us... just to buy you some shoes... I'll swear I'll drive all night, again...
If i could give this performance a million stars i would, just breathtaking with all the old magic from "The River" era just pooring out of Bruce and the band. Big Man:You`re fantastic, i hope you recover from your backproblems so that we will see you back like this in full force again!!!!!
"i would drive all night just to buy you some shoes, and to taste your tender charms." why does that line make me cry, every time? i can't even begin to measure what this man has given me through his music.
Absolutely TLPFAS - if I could ever hear Bruce do this live, I would die, but in peace! Ultimate all time favourite, and want it played at my funeral.
I have "sad eyes" and a sad heart knowing the E Street band is likely on it's final legs. Thank you Boss, thank you C. Words can't describe this song.........
I can still remember seeing this song performed the first time in LA 11-3-80 and I couldn't stop crying through the whole thing. It has always been one of my all-time favorites. This one was amazing. The thought of the band being on final legs is just too much to bear.
They will be back, don't worry. Band always announce that they will split up or whatever before a tour to max out publicity and ticket sales. Bruce would not do it differently. I think though that they will take 1 year break. Bruce will write his book, Big Man will have time to do his physical therapy, and after that they're good to go! :)
I sure hope you are right. Playing all these albums is starting to worry me. It is feeling way too final, especially if "Greetings" is played in Buffalo, as rumors predict.
@POINTEBLANC91 How ironic I would write that.....never had a clue I would end up flying from CA to Buffalo at the very last minute and shoot almost the whole show from row 2 behind the stage. A year later, I am still editing it, but now seeing it come alive. It was a fabulous show and still gives me shivers knowing I got there. Now, I am ready to do it again....back to 1978!!
I was at that show. Really amazing night.... gotta admit i don't love the "Greetings" album, but they performed it and made it something really special that i'll never forget
Dayum,Id buy him an entire wardrobe if I could sleep in his arms..Or that sax player..yum...

June 18, 2011 .......... that's the day the music really died.
No disrespect to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens or the The Big Bopper intended.

I love "The River". It is my favorite Bruce album. He was at the height of his greatness when he was around 30.

This song has been my hearts "national anthem" since it first came out. Yes it makes you weep, all the way from Sweden !
