BMW "LOST IT" in 2007 when they went from the beautiful E46 to this E93 crap.....look,...top-down, no trunk...?!...hello?...where do u put groceries??....DUH.....I am a 2005 325ci cabrio owner...the BEST 3-series made convertible.....can hardly wait till 2012, and hopefully BMW lets these retractable hardtops fade away. ...FAST. Com-on BMW,...bring back the "soft-top", & forget this over-sculptured body style seen from 2007-2011....YUK. I hear BMW has brought back the original BMW E46 designer!!

@bmw4ever55 shut the hell up .. every 3 series driver in the world has this fantasy that his car is the best bmw ever made. thats bullshit and even tho I' m not a fan of the e93 its obviously an improvement over the e46.

and few people know Chris Bangle actually was part of the team that designed the E46 .... so why was everybody trying to get rid of him when he made the E60 and the 2002 7 series ?! gtfoh

That top action looks cool....NOW! But, wait 5 years and see if they still work that nice. LOTS of intricate moving parts in that top! If they end up like the older verts...they will have lots of serious issues in the future. If you own one....I'd consider selling it before the top starts failing. Just my opinion, though. I still think the car is HOT! have one myself!

Why were the precious models called 'cabriolet' and now 'convirtable'....is there any difference?

@1Sthabi Probably to set a difference between the old models who had soft tops, and the newer ones who have a metal folding roof.

@1Sthabi officially no, but a cabriolet is usually soft-top these days. although coupe-cabriolet is used sometimes used to describe hard-top convertibles... in short no, theres no difference lol

we have a 335i cabrio, but i looked at the volkswagen eos and that has a cooler hardtop (with a sunroof too ... check it out). in the end, bmw was just too good to pass on though.
