Dang. Just dang. This game was the best game in the world for the longest time. I rocked that game. This is the perfect example of a good racing/action/shooter game. Screw the new games like Blur and overpriced crap like that.

I have read Reviews about this game. The Xbox Version is nice and good playable. The PS2 Version is bad and not playable. Is this correct?

I can't comment on the PS2 version, but the Xbox version is wonderful. They both suffer, sadly, from the same bug that cuts off the music from time to time...

Arctic Thunder seems to be very different from the other "Thunder" games like Hydro Thunder or 4 Wheel Thunder.

But the sound effects seem to be not very good... or is it the video ?

AT is very much like HT, except it has weapons. They play very similarly. As for the sound effects, it's the crappy YouTube transfer. Try watching this video either on my Yahoo Video page, or on my site for a better quality version(both links are on my profile page here at YouTube).
