The Problem WIth Duel ( With No Pros ^^) is that they just camp at the mega, instead of circling the map and controlling all of it.

Therefore, I prefer 1v1 Clan Arena ^^

@ShockedShocktrooper I don't find that the be the cast at all, even at lower levels. Mega is worthless if you don't have armor and guns. If you expect to win, you're going to have to try and control the map. In fact, if there was 1 thing I had to consistently NOT pick up, it would be mega. Armor and weapons are far more important. If I played someone that did nothing but camp mega, it would be so easy to beat them. 35 seconds is a long time to wait around doing nothing...

@ShockedShocktrooper Yeah I've played all the quake, and the dooms before that, and wolfenstein before that. I never knew about the duel format however, and never really knew about competitive gaming. I'd either just pub FFA or play single player. That's why I'm so far behind in skill, haha.

@Elevory I guess that's sort of the plan, haha. It takes more and more time to do these though, cause I want to do better and better analysis. I don't think the quake community is too large, and the duelers are only a subset of that. Most duelers are quite a bit better than me, so they won't have too much to learn (if anything) from these videos. The real point is for me to improve MY game, and making these videos helps. So viewers or not, I'll keep making them. Just not sure how often.

I'm a noobish player (even though I really love Q3), but I still think you take this whole game way too seriously :)

Do you play at tournaments maybe?

@minjod No way, I'm TERRIBLE. The problem is, the duel community isn't very big, and most of the players are from the Q3 days, if not further back (quakeworld). The people I'm up against, even if they don't take the game "way to seriously" are super good at it, because they probably did at one time. Or at least they've been at it forever. Anyway, it's fun, bringing all that strategy into an fps. QL requires more strat than most strat games...
