Should work for your application. It's specifically geared toward businesses that are not too complicated. The buttons on screen should hold most of your inventory, but the scanner can access far more than what appears in the buttons. We have been using 4 setups now for several months, and have really had very few issues. We're running them in a book table setup with about 200 titles, and then one location has 500 + items and trinkets.  We keep it in a mobile locking presenter cart.

Can I use Shopkeep for a retail store..one with maybe 300 shelf items (Not a restaurant)? How about that little scanner you had..looks like it works well. It is a jewelry business with 6 items categories etc...
