@paul1967uk. Actually, it is if it is being used to breach the human rights of your neighbour, whether it's a toy camera or not. Did the neighbour know that it was a toy? Paul, research your facts before you make assinine comments. Makes you look less of a dick than you do at the moment.
I think the best question to ask is: why am i being arrested? if they say harrassing your neighbor by recording her. You say with what? and then they have to admit they didnt know if the camera was real and they arrested u anyway.
If that Inspector states that it is just 'procedure' irrespective of the condition/age/actions of the arrested person then this blindly followed procedure will fall foul of discrimination laws.
The fact they fail to differentiate between a 75 yr old man and a much younger fitter man is ridiculous and I suggest you take this further for the sake of others.
@ThePoliceharassment I know your comment is 3 months old, but the law is 44 years old! S3 of the Criminal Law Act, 67', allows reasonable force to prevent injury or further offences. While I agree their force policy isn't ideal, it is entirely lawful.
@ThePoliceharassment I must be what? I'm not at all justifying it, I entirely disagree with the handcuffing. I'm merely pointing out that it's lawful. What would have been more appropriate; seize evidence then arrest the male by appointment. No handcuffs, no police van, no indignity.
Good on ya fella, stand up for your rights, cos they are doing there best to take them off us. Look up a group called freedom rebels on the net, they will help ya with advice and support.

@Katrini89 another police stooge.
You must be to come on here and try to justify the handcuffing of a peaceful compliant 75yr old man. Also do remember policy is not law.

We met Barry the other day, a sprightly lovely 77 year old and it is disgraceful what they have put Barry through.
