@helipilot27 Yes it does cycle faster as you run low on ammo, but not from heat, it's from the spring in the magazine getting less & less tension on it which allows the bolt to strip & feed rounds faster.

You see the same thing happening with standard 30rd mags as well.

the a1, and a3 varients are full auto. the a2 and a4 are 3 round burst. the a2 is most common.

The reciever is considered to be the part that is the actual firearm while other parts are accessories and parts that can be replaced/purchased with out any complications.He is simply telling the audience that it is an M16 and not an M4.
