  • Wearing earplugs in this manner is why many think that foam earplugs to not work. Please view "Fitting Foam Earplugs," for a scientifically validated instruction set.

    Thank you.

  • lugs

  • Lol... You hav flailed med 4 ze last time :P

  • incorrect

    FAIL ha

  • Sorry, but your method is incorrect.

The right way to do it is like JYTster says: roll them between your fingers until they won't get any smaller in diameter, insert in the ear, push them in and they will expand and seal out the noise.

  • Yes, very bad advice... I have great hearing and a friend who always teased me about my wearing plugs is now totally deaf and having surgery for hearing implants.

Here's the right way, and concerts still sound great, but no ear damage - Roll the foam between your fingertips until squeezed to slightly thicker than a toothpick, quickly slip them into your ear canal. They expand to fit your ear canal thus blocking sound waves - 29db+ rated plugs are best.

If you have questions, write me.

  • I've used ear plugs for 33 yrs, this is not how to use them.

    Sorry but It's bad advice.

  • @gunvidder So maybe YOU should show us how it's done.
