As touching as this movie is, Kids will continue bulleing forever. society is never perfect and never will be. There WILL be school shootings in the future, and there WILL be teenagers like you and me that die due to this. I'm 16, i rairly think before I act, what makes you think everyone elce will? Is it really worth your life?
@FmxAlexBmx You make it sound so simple; however, I get what you are saying, I have been bullied all throughout elementary school to the point where I have desensitized myself so when high school things started off a little rough, but it got better and it didn't matter, the damage had been done. The thing that kept me from going over the edge... back then, I had one teacher who stood up for me and never once questioned if I was telling the truth, she just knew.
@FmxAlexBmx I got ignored all the time when it came to me wanting help, and now people have nothing, but help out there for people like myself who have problems with this. Even though this will never stop, do you really think that this subject should be something that is ignored?
@FmxAlexBmx You said is it really worth your life? Well, when you get beaten down and tormented for so long that you just can't take it anymore, you'll understand what that means to want to not only take your life, but the life of others as well. I truly hope that you never get pushed that far or push someone else that far; No one deserves to be bullied. Usually, people just want to know that someone out there is willing to help them whether or not we live in a perfect world.
@FmxAlexBmx Helping one, two or three kids is better than seeing an entire classroom of dead bodies including the one or the two or three kids that could have been saved. Remember: NOT SAYING ANYTHING MAKES YOU JUST AS BAD AS THE PERSON PULLING THE TRIGGER.
My X is and will always be fear. I get sick of being alive. But What is death? What does death feel like? Where do I go? Where do i stay. My X is tiny. My X is Fear.
This movie was shown in my former High School, and it made no difference whatsoever.
It is a school that prioritizes athletic ability over scholastic achievement. I was tormented nearly every day since 4th grade, and then there was the constant prattling of people accusing me when I'd done nothing wrong.
This movie made a difference to me, but so many people have been desensitized by poor parenting and lack of caring when it comes to bullying.
@TheOnlineParty He probably offered the tape to the police as evidence, and he did stop the shooters by holding them until everyone escaped. He's a hero now, so it would look bad on the police if they kept him imprisoned.
by the end i was crying. a really beautiful film that with hopefully open up peoples eyes as to whats going on. the drama teacher was similar to erin gruwell, I got bullied in school. i understood trevor, and the gang of outcasts (i dont think they should have done what they almost did).
the sadest thing is that the play came out 2-3 weeks before columbine which at that time was the "worst school shooting in american history"
drchasefreak, its called runaway train by Oleander
i'm a teacher. i'm setting a campaign of bullying prevention in my school and will use this video intensively. students saw a clip in my class. the next day 3 of them brought me the whole movie, which they wanted to see in class. amazing
I just saw this movie i my health class and NEEDED to show my parents. They believe that bullying does not exist in today's society despite the fact that I get bullied. Thank you so much for uploading this!!
This is by far the best movies that shows what happens in some teenagers life. This movie should be shown everywhere because it explains many of the things that a teenager in this state can't explain. I have been really low at times in my life and this movie was one of the inspirations that kept me going.
I seen this movie as a freshman this year and its powerful it has a strong meaning behind it and i belive it should be in circulm for ever school around the world to see it you can learn alot it brings me to tears every time i see it and i thank the youtuber who has put all the scenes online for us thank you 5 out of 5
Do you think that would have had a smaller influence on the way people are treated in school? Definately not! People would maybe start to realize how important social life actually is in school and how far you can be pushed. This way the jocks in his grade are like "hm, wasnt the best thing to do after all.." and thats it. NOBODY WILL EVER REMEMBER, NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE, maybe very little, but if so then only in that particular school with that particular teachers. nothing more
you think your the only person who has thought of this? loads have thought this even people befoe you have its not a matter of shooting the jocks and it will never happen again yeah it might help you out but doing it because you think itl help future bully victims is stupid.
@SpikedYum so what is the reason not to do it? In order to not ruin the lives of those who have ruined yours? Why do we instantly condemn every act of revenge as bad or evil?
Also, what do you want to tell me with saying that people have thought this before? This is the internet, not really a place to show off with semingly cool or innovative ideas just in order to sound smart. I am just really bothered about how a great movie ended with a mainstream feel-good ending, it had so much potential.
because being unable to live life through hard times make you weak just because they messed up someones life doesnt mean you end theres yeah maybe fuck it up a lil but ending there life is basicly saying to them you won i cant face you so i have to get rid of you your just to much for me to handle thats basicly what people say in tht situation there basicly sying you won and yeah i understand but you forget that movies arent reality and very rarely show real life situations :/
@SpikedYum are you kidding me? The reason why this movie is so good is because it gives INSIGHT into what people in those situations REALLY FEEL. And hell, if you are in such a situation where your complete psychology is fucked and your view towards society and life is utterly ruined, you dont think about "him winning" or some bullshit.
If i was bullied to a point where i am ending my life (like the trogs are) i would not give a damn about those who "killed" me. I am sure you wouldn't either.
my brother was bullied more than anyone in the movie and i had to watch it when it was happining so maybe i dont know how it feels but i know alot what it does to people i seen it in real life and kinda lived watching it instead of just watching it on tv and in that situation about not caring who kills you i dont think so because suicidal people usualy have there death to show that it was too hard for them to take it and it was there choice to end it its a wierd way to describe it.
all these aspects are not mentioned and make it pretty depressing when you think about it. The way this story goes the bullies and jocks will carry on with what they're doing and not give a fuck, while the life of the "outcasts" is screwed forEVER. What would have happened if Trever didnt stop the Trogs and had published his movies? Probably world-wide news with scenes of the movies shown and a memorial for centuries.
in one or two years the next generation with new bullies will be there, making life the living hell for half of the school and nobody will give a fuck. Trever? Missed the chance of revenge and probably feels the same as the Trogs. Do you really think he can shrug off that anger and hate thats been boiling inside of him with just that one play? He is still expelled from school, with bomb threats and attempted school shootings in his register. Have fun getting a career started!
Still I highly dislike the ending.... its just another "happy end" that intends to make you feel oh so "inspired" or "warmhearted". Lets see whats gonna happen in future: The trogs? arrested, suffering their whole life from the things they experienced in school and the feeling not to be able to do anything about it. The Jocks? Gonna continue their lives with a lesson learned which makes their lives even better...
This movie is so inspiring. It shows that even at your lowest point you can still pull yourself out and make a difference for yourself and everyone else. I wish more kids my age could see this movie. Especially when the kids in the movie start listing off all the things they miss. If kids my age could really think about that kind of stuff they'd realize that life is really a beautiful thing even through the hardships.
I like that they show actual footage of this play being perfrmed at school in this end. this play was never performed when I was in school which is a shame because as disturbing as it would of opened a lot of people's eyes.
I saw this movie when I was in 8th grade, almost 6 yrs ago. That was the lowest point I have ever been at in my life, I watched this and cried the majority of the movie.I didn't realize it but I was almost getting to that point in my life,I was bullied all my life,I was afraid it'd never go away and I wanted an escape. This movie changed my outlook on everything and made me realize that isn't the way. I don't know who I'd be or even if I'd be alive if I had never come across this movie.
i absolutely love the play m yschool is currently working on the play again...it was psycho torture going through rehearsals but it was well worth it...I was Jessie in the summer version and now I'm actor 5 for the play its really tough...the person who played our version of Josh is really good...its so intense and fast pace as the rumors and kids we are like jumping in and out of places...5/5
Wow, I think it's perfect... It shows feelings, toughts and all emotions, wich are so bad... Probably the best film i ever seen ... not sensless or define ... there are a assertion
I've been bullied since first grade. Yes, First Grade. It's gotten worse and worse throughout the years. To be completely honest, last year I found myself at this point. That point where you're so low, you couldn't care less if you live or die. I dropped out of school to stop myself from doing anything because I was scared of what would happen if I did. That's my X. I have to say this is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. It really shows what goes on inside a head at that point.
@RiseAgainstFan13 agreed! i cannot speak for what i do not know but this should be mandatory viewing! to have seen this at 14 instead of 24 would have planted some serious truths in my mind and undoubtedly altered my path..... "bang bang your alive"!!!
@dropCbuzz I think this should be mandatory viewing as well. I'd love to try to get this play produced at my school, but I'm not in drama or anything and I'm graduating in 3months. I may try to bring it up to someone again though.
@RiseAgainstFan13 know what ya mean... it's definitely a mission to get golden ideas (so subjective by nature) to a result... i guess the path is to be open to inspiration, i know immediately after watchin this i sent a message to some old uni friends that were lost to time.... no reply as yet tho! :(...
@RiseAgainstFan13 i am so proud of u, u didnt act on ur urges...but as a victim myself, you should have fought back n staied in school, let them assholes know ur not going anywhere, all i asked really is u kept showing those school assholes what they where doing to u...keep the complaints going n going until they caved in...even if the bully declines everything u say, the second it happends u admit it...admitting being bullied doesnt make u a weak person, just makes u stronger cuz u fought back
@dk5388 maybe I should've stayed, but I did go back the next year. I dropped out for probably 6months. I'm now graduating this May.
It's just, an interesting situation when you're constantly afraid of your own mind. Afraid of what you're capable of if you let that take over… I dunno…
i got bullyed at school every single day for 3 years it was living hell. i can't say how much this film says about me i wanted to kill them all and kill myself after that, but i just had to keep it down there was a line that Ijust couldn't cross and i felt so dumb and cowardly stupid... i don't know how I made it through
@izizful I know how you feel. If I had a gun or a knife while my bullies were bullying me I probably would have but I didn't and I'm sure as glad as hell that I didn't because the moment you let them ruin your life is the moment you let your bullies win.
@izizful well anything to shut their mouths at the moment seems like bliss but once you start thinking about the consequences of your actions the only thing to do is to either shut them up by talking back or try to block them out.
My school just did the play and I have to admit, I like this movie a lot better. There's something about the play that struck me as badly written. It made it difficult to connect with Josh because he was so manipulative and it painted him as a student who was popular and a "lady's man". This movie did a much better job of depicting the struggles that would lead someone to do something that horrible.
I was drawn to this movie because one of my school's one-acts are actually producing this show, and I'm casted in it. I was told the movie was a bit different from the actual play - both are very intense, yet amazing.
I'm so glad I gave this movie a chance, definitely worth the hours of my life I spent watching this. And even more worth more when I watch it again ;)
Every day, I used to go to school in fear of a shooting, but lately, I've been going in fear of me being the shooter. I've started keeping a journal, recording my day and how I really feel. The hournal knows me best because it
s the only one that knows what I think and what I feel because i don't trust anyone with that info. I feel different after watching this. I hope this movie has woken me up, because if it hasn't, even though I have good self control, I'm afraid of what I might do.
I love this movie. I have to admit, i was drawn to it because of randy harrison, being a huge fan of his and wanting to see something that wasn't QAF. Overall this movie is amazing, with or without randy's character. I love it and the characters. This is a move you must see, especially high schools.
This movie is amazing .. I'm happy i'm not that messed up as sean .. But i hate that building the call school .. I hate all the persons they call humans .. But i'm greatful for the humans i call friends .. Without them i'm not sure where i would be .. Or If i would be ..
Wow...that was incredible. Thank you so much for uploading, I loved it! They should show that movie in every high school. Would have been cool if my old high school had done the play.
this play can teach alot about violence. so you should NOT make fun of peole cuz they are different. you should say hi to them and be friends and try to make then fell better about themselfs. help time in there times of need. dont make fun of them.
I can't believe I haven't even heard of this until I was out of school... making a new life...
This should be by law shown at every school. Why hide the truths of society... it needs to be out there...... put the scare in kids, because its reality! This is a touching movie. I liked the ending so much. I was tormented in school, and there was kids that scared me to even not want to come to school cause of the possibility of a shooting... This looks at both sides. Maybe it will save some lives<3
I had the same school life, every day, constantly, waiting because you knew it was going to happen at some point. I hated school, truly hated it and every person there. I used to think, I could just get a gun, go in, and that would be it. I used to think about, would I kill myself afterwards, or run. I was fucked up in the head and seriously depressed, and eventually quit school all together at 16 because I couldnt take it anymore and was scared I would end up doing something.
@Alycorerobotx It's the law at my school that they show it to all 8th grade classes. It was a really powerful movie for everyone in our class. We still have a bad bullying problem, but it really has gone down ever since everyone had to watch that movie. And I honestly think it might have saved quite a few lives in our school.
this movie let me realize alot eg u cant jus use ur angry in life n u have 2 try 2 be heard some way .now i kinda think i am a different person jus watchin this.
this movie is one of the most moving movies i have ever seen. i almost cryed watching the part where he, his parents, his teachures and the police officers were watching his tapes. it was like a window to his heart. the people who made this movie are true geniuses.
This movie is AMAZING! I think I might do something like this for my AS Level MIA Project :):)! Oh out of curiosity, does anyone know the name of the song that's playing for the closing credits and the name of the artist??
wow it really is touching. my class is watching it in health and we had to stop at the beginning of the shooting in the cafateria and we really wanted to see what happens. im so glad i did though. its an amazing movie seriously!!!
Mmmm i´ve read this play before and is about understand why someone is capable of doing this... what he was thinking... put yourself is his position and see that he was a normal person... obviously with issues that he couldn´t resolve.. after seen what happened in columbine is really good know why... we must do something about it, don´t blame this 2 guys and call them killers because we all could be on that possition.
WATCH BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE by MICHAEL MOORE. Is here in youtube
Amazing movie, best i've seen in a long time. my high school drama class is doing this and im josh, i hope it goes well. this movie has a very powerful message. if you watched this to watch people die...you're sick... seriously...
This movie is awesome and the message is so clear 'stop bullying and dont isolate student because they are weird or nerd'! respect and be nice to each other even though they are not your friends at school! stop bullying and punish the bullies!!!
Man, this movie's gonna be at the back of my mind every time I step into school every day...it was a good movie, but still...you don't know everyone in high school, and SOMEONE could be planning something. That scared the living heck outta me!!
that was a really good movie, probably the best movie iv ever seen. I saw the play at the credits, and is their any way i can watch the entire thing? What do i type in if their is?
I just discovered Ben Foster in this movie. He is AMAZING! This movie is just fantastic and I'm so going to get it or download it or whatever! I came, however, for Randy Harrison, who was just BRILLIANT! God, he was SUPERB! I love him to DEATH and he was just...Wow...Heh, I screamed and clapped when Randy's name came on the credits! Both at the end AND the beginning XD Anyway, must see the play, must get this movie! XD I love you Randy! Aaaand now Ben as well XD Brilliant! Just...wow!
Hey, i'm just finished watching this movie. Btw from the start till end of the movie, i have come through your comments & i couldn't agree more. I started watching this because of Randy & i truelly LOVED him, as you said he's BRILLIANT & did i mention he's cool? I like though-bad boy!Randy XD
Overall the movie itself is AWESOME.
4 all the others who found me ridicilous or whatsoever.. (i'm so into Randy) just want to remind that it just my 'own' opinion.. so be nice please ^ ^
Can't argue, it's a great movie so should by the play. Makes you think a whole lot, makes you cry, may even change You. Seams like relatively simple and, common situations may push You to the limits. Seams like cruelty has a child's face.
Oh BROTHER! This movie was painful, I cried like a baby. Plus the star, I think his name is Ben Foster, is so incredible that it made me believe it. They should show this movie to students instead of that "Rachel's Challenge" do-good shit. I think this would reach people on a whole other level.
they should not just show this in high school they should show this in college maybe this movie would of prevented Virginia tech from happening.

MewIchigolove 2 years ago 3
Wow, I think it's perfect... It shows feelings, toughts and all emotions, wich are so bad... Probably the best film i ever seen ... not sensless or define ... there are a assertion
MrsBluuuuuub 2 years ago 6

"bang bang your alive"!!!
dropCbuzz 1 year ago 2
@dropCbuzz I think this should be mandatory viewing as well. I'd love to try to get this play produced at my school, but I'm not in drama or anything and I'm graduating in 3months. I may try to bring it up to someone again though.
RiseAgainstFan13 1 year ago
@RiseAgainstFan13 know what ya mean... it's definitely a mission to get golden ideas (so subjective by nature) to a result... i guess the path is to be open to inspiration, i know immediately after watchin this i sent a message to some old uni friends that were lost to time.... no reply as yet tho! :(...
dropCbuzz 1 year ago
@RiseAgainstFan13 i am so proud of u, u didnt act on ur urges...but as a victim myself, you should have fought back n staied in school, let them assholes know ur not going anywhere, all i asked really is u kept showing those school assholes what they where doing to u...keep the complaints going n going until they caved in...even if the bully declines everything u say, the second it happends u admit it...admitting being bullied doesnt make u a weak person, just makes u stronger cuz u fought back
dk5388 11 months ago 2
@dk5388 maybe I should've stayed, but I did go back the next year. I dropped out for probably 6months. I'm now graduating this May.
It's just, an interesting situation when you're constantly afraid of your own mind. Afraid of what you're capable of if you let that take over… I dunno…

i got bullyed at school every single day for 3 years it was living hell. i can't say how much this film says about me i wanted to kill them all and kill myself after that, but i just had to keep it down there was a line that Ijust couldn't cross and i felt so dumb and cowardly stupid... i don't know how I made it through
izizful 2 years ago 12
@izizful I know how you feel. If I had a gun or a knife while my bullies were bullying me I probably would have but I didn't and I'm sure as glad as hell that I didn't because the moment you let them ruin your life is the moment you let your bullies win.
Antiope2589 2 years ago 4
hey, thats a good one. but correct me if im wong at the moment you just want to kill them
izizful 2 years ago
@izizful well anything to shut their mouths at the moment seems like bliss but once you start thinking about the consequences of your actions the only thing to do is to either shut them up by talking back or try to block them out.
Antiope2589 2 years ago
My school just did the play and I have to admit, I like this movie a lot better. There's something about the play that struck me as badly written. It made it difficult to connect with Josh because he was so manipulative and it painted him as a student who was popular and a "lady's man". This movie did a much better job of depicting the struggles that would lead someone to do something that horrible.

O_O This movie was absolutly ahmazing. Its so true to school life. :/

I was drawn to this movie because one of my school's one-acts are actually producing this show, and I'm casted in it. I was told the movie was a bit different from the actual play - both are very intense, yet amazing.

Alycorerobotx 2 years ago 73
I had the same school life, every day, constantly, waiting because you knew it was going to happen at some point. I hated school, truly hated it and every person there. I used to think, I could just get a gun, go in, and that would be it. I used to think about, would I kill myself afterwards, or run. I was fucked up in the head and seriously depressed, and eventually quit school all together at 16 because I couldnt take it anymore and was scared I would end up doing something.
DopedUpMonkey 2 years ago
@Alycorerobotx It's the law at my school that they show it to all 8th grade classes. It was a really powerful movie for everyone in our class. We still have a bad bullying problem, but it really has gone down ever since everyone had to watch that movie. And I honestly think it might have saved quite a few lives in our school.
