Great 2 c this video again after a few years AOL this video was filmed in Auckland NZ at Victoria park This I know as I am the lady in the back ground spinning ropes.The Mockers were a great band to work with. We all enjoyed a great Chinese meal at tea break, as this took many hours of work. Loved their music both then and now.

as far as i remember, stevie was found dead in his car one morning

don't know if it was suicide or an unlucky fumes poisoning

i do know he was worried about the band making it in the usa as he had a conviction for something (don't remember for what) and was worried he wouldn't be able to get in

bloody shame, he was a genuine guy and deserved a shot at the big time

never forgotten by anyone who knew him

Oh my goodness, this brings back memories of when i was a teenager. I knew the Mockers and went backstage and waiting on the wings. The keyboardist is in Australia and doing wonderful, played at a concert in Rockhampton, Qld, Australia back in 2004. I remember the drummer, he was the nicest guy. Such a shame.

The name comes from a Beatles quote. I'm sure they wouldn't have ever heard of any bands from Uruguay as it's quite unusual for people in the English speaking world to listen to non-English music. Besides the Uruguayan band is called Los Mockers, not The Mockers.

They were awesome and i still love them...
