@languageishellagay if you've got permanent residence in Germany, or resident in a EU member state, in very good shape, also note, that us citizens might loose their US citizenship, if they join another countries army (however this is only likely if one serves as an officer in a foreign army, as a "normal" soldier its unlikely...)

My point was that the German army was not losing that war any more than anyone else was, look at the numbers, they're atrocious. The treaty of Versaille was vastly unfair. In fact, the US congress and the British House of Commons wouldn't ratify it because it was too punitive.

Civil war doesn't count because we were fighting the US technically. UK and France were holding off against Imperial Germany pretty damn well and could have won w/o US intervention. My point was that the German army was not losing that war any more than anyone else was, look at the numbers, they're atrocious. The treaty of Versaille was vastly unfair. In fact, the US congress and the British House of Commons wouldn't ratify it because it was too punitive.

WW1 was basically a family feud between the various branches of the monachies. With Germany no more or less to blame than the rest. As for the research I was referring to the lend-lease act of WW2, and the final payments of reparations for WW1. But in either case the German military fought off at least three large nations for years.
