The SR-71 requires a download, you're flying the YF-12A, an interceptor variant and prototype of the SR-71

In MP I prefer to use the SR-71 as more of a 'recon' role with my target override pod, I just fly at high altitudes and help my teammates out in the way the SR-71 was designed to.

Thats not an SR-71, its a YF-12 which is an interceptor. You con tell the difference because the YF-12 Has a more pointed nose while the SR-71's is curved.

Yeah I know its in the game, and no I have never played this game before, but what I ment was, if this aircraft is armed with missles in this game, then its total wrong, if not, then why put it in the game, unless theres a recon mission or something. The SR-71 is a spy plane it is made for only recon missions and to spy on enemies that is why it has such great speed, the aircraft holds no missles.

you i get your point and yea it does help on the last mission witch you need a fast plane because you have to protect the satellite launch and missiles start coming out from everywhere so because this plane its faster then missiles you can easily go around and destroy them .

@munruthel1 the reason it has missles is cuz thats the yf-12. the air force had three it was basically a fighter version of the a-12 oxcart(cia version of the sr-71)

it's a little old to be responding to this, but even though it's the yf-12 it still shouldn't be able to fire missles, because it is also a stealth plane, anyway as far as this conflict goes i no longer care.

The impressive part about it is that each plane was different, they all reacted differently in the same conditions and the pilots didnt know if it was going to be on their side or not (in terms of how the plane handles)

All you have to do to get these planes is do a search for a h.a.w.x. savegame file.. Then put the new profile "savegame" into the directory where h.a.w.x. stores the profiles!!!!

This isn't even the SR-71 you dick. This is the YF-12A if you can actually read when you play the game...The SR-71 codenamed 'blackbird' is only availible as DLC for 400MP. It's faster and more agile than the YF-12A. Oh and the YF-12A (one in this video) isn't even codenamed the 'blackbird' N0000bzoooroidd!111one11!!! lollz!+
