I saw The Side Effects in 1981 in Augusta, GA when bands like REM, Pylon, The Drastics and Red Scare would come down and play at a local disco once a week. I remember the director, Greg, showed me the tape just before they played. I still have their record. Good times.

Side Effects were a great & fun band....as was Kit's next band, Love Tractor. Cool to see the late Jimmy Ellison on video. Would love to get copies of any Athens shows from this period... . Anyone have the Pylon radio broadcast from Memorial Hall?

keep looking for myself in this video. "Look at us...ain't we neat!!!" still keep my burned beer bottle and brick from Tyrone's in my office. I'm 51, and at times really wish I could travel back to "Rockville" ca.1979-1982 and relive the magic.
