  • I Used A Regualr Hair Brush....

But It Came Out like... Frizzy?

Does That Happen With A Wire Brush Too?

  • @SKxLucky1314 The fibers are supposed to come apart if that is what you are calling frizzy.

  • I made a smuzzie out of this. I put dot eyes on it :D

  • @pandagirl4561 It sounds cute! Please do a video response

  • aww i made one really big one and i put it on my bed because its so fuzy

  • U are so amazing and talented! U should open up ur own shop with classes!

  • @VivaLaLyssa96 Thank you!

  • Is there a common household item I can use in place of the brush?

  • @leeshapesh09 I started with a cat brush. Any type of wire brush is the best.

  • Very nice! Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!

  • @hmsells You are welcome.

  • No matter how tightly I tie the pom pom it falls apart! :( what am I doing wrong?

  • @kylesdad77 It should not fall apart. Maybe you are cutting it to short? The yarn pieces will come out of the hat if you pull on them no matter how tight you have it tied. That is why I like brushing. It holds the yarn segments together.

  • Like so many others, I want to thank you for taking the time to make all your wonderful tutorials. I just completed my first baby beanie with a beautiful pom pom...thanks to you.

I was frustrated with reading patterns, and you were the answer! I'd much rather follow your tutorials...it's so much easier. Your a gem.

  • @iminsanediego Thank you.

  • This is so cool! I can't believe I never realized that the way to make them fluffy is to brush them. Thanks for sharing.

  • Oh man, I can only imagine what this would look like with super extra soft fluffy yarn X3

    Too cute!

  • Making the ball fluffy is my favorite part and ps i think you're cute :)

  • You can use a cat brush. The brush I used was purchased at a Home Improvement store. The cat brushes can be found at a Store like wal-mart.

  • Beautiful! I was literally staring at this vid with my jaw dropped! Thanks for the info this was a great tutorial! I found this sweet benie that incorporates 2 pom poms to the side of the hat, now I can make it. Thanks Again!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • i know a much easy'er and faster way...

  • Oh, then why don't you share it with us?

  • That is the best pom pom I've seen made. I was making them with a piece of caedboard. They were ok, but your way...NICE & BETTER.

    Thanks for the video

  • You are welcome.

  • wow this is way better than the way i was making the. i was making them by taking to peices of circular cardboard with a hole in the middle and wraping around and around . i had to cut the yarn so many times. it was horrible!!

  • Thank you for this!

I'm a huge fan of your videos! I always wanted to learn how to crochet and with thanks to your step by step instructions I have completed serveral projects and now a baby beanie hat - this pom pom will make a great final touch to it!

I was just wondering what yarn you have used for this project? It's such a pretty colourway.

    Thanks!

  • Thank you. I no longer have the label so I do not know the color.

  • Thanks for the quick reply. I had another look on ebay and found something similar so might use that for something now! Keep up your fab work!

  • Wow thank you so much. I can now finish my daughters cap. I tried making a pom pom a few times and it looked terrible like yours did in the beginning so I gave up. I should have kept shaping and used the wire brush!!! Thanks again!!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Very nice presentation...I've been making them for years but learned something new, how to firmly attach it after finishing. I usually just attahed the original yarn holding it thru the middle. Yours is a much sturdier solution. Thanks.

  • You are welcome. I appreciate your feedback and comments. :)

  • Thanks so much for sharing this with me, it's cool that you help every individual person... WOW! almost done with this already! It looks great on my winter hat I'm making :)

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Oooooh, THAT'S how you make a correct pom pom. Mine always look blah....THANKS so much for the awesome video. I learned something new today. :0)

  • You are welcome. This is what works best for me. There may be other ways to do it to create a different look from what I have here.

  • That is so awsome! Can't wait 2 try it thanks 4 sharing =)

  • You are welcome.

  • That was really cool.. that had is very cute. How would i make the hat? LOL

  • I have several hat tutorials posted.

  • How many times did you wrap around for the bigger pom?

Or actually, how many times should I wrap around to make a good sized pom?

  • I didn't count but it is probably an inch thick. If you wanted to make the ball larger, you can cut a larger cardboard and then wrap it around a lot of times until it is very thick.

  • wire brush, good idea. I've never done it that way before. I remember making pom poms but only up to the trimming part. I think I'll have to try that, it looks so much fluffier that way.

  • i hope u dont mind, i love that color of the yarn what color is it?

  • It is called Floral Print by Jamie.

  • its lovely

  • Brilliant, I love the wire brush tip too, never would have thought of that :0)

Would you be able to do a video about using beads, please?

    N xx

  • Using them how?

  • I would love to learn how to incorporate them into accessories like chokers, belts, brooches or bracelets? Or bigger items like bags :0)

  • My first pom pom almost got bald cause i wasn't paying attention ;)

Thanx for all the videos you post Thanks to you now i can crochet even better

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Do you run the 2-3foot piece of yarn on the inside or outside center of the twinded yarn? I couldn't see that very good. Thanks :)

  • I wind it on the outside, then give it a good tug and make a knot. You can run it through the middle to secure it better if you want to. That is the part where it would be nice to have three hands because it is thick and needs to be pulled tight. I wrap it around a couple of other times to make sure the yarn is wrapped good.

  • So adorable!

  • i luv you and ur gifted hands!!!!!! no seriously you rock. i have learned more in 3 days of watching your videos than i have since i was 10! im 13 now but i have been crocheting since i was 10. i also learned to knit when i was 11 but chroceting is faster because i can make blankets as long aas i want. you rock!!!

  • yay

  • I would have never thought of useing a wire brush. I love the soft look it makes to the pom pom. Great idea of how to sew it on to the hat. What kind of baby yarn did you use? I love the colors.

  • I don't remember what brand it is because I took the label off but it is 3-ply.

  • awesome video!!!!

  • Thank you. :)

  • Very nice! thank you..

  • You are welcome. :)

  • great job!thank you very much.

  • You are welcome. :)
