im crying,i have not truly served Jehovah to the full in 11 yrs,ive been going to meetings in the new city i live in.im disfellowshipped but it is my goal to get re-instated,i have only one thing stopping me...cigs...nasty,i hate that i cant seem to stop...the elders are very kind to me and my two young children,they make it a point to talk to them at every meeting.my two little ones know Jehovah and have a close relationship with him.im going to get reinstated,i have to.i love Jehovah
Every time I see something like this about Jehovah's Witnesses I feel inside and see that it is the truth. A whole lot of people from the same organization getting together is a lot of proof to me. No other religion does that! The title of it makes a lot of sense when you're part of it and knowing that it is the truth, because no one knows the day nor the hour of the end of this present system of things, only that it is very soon and you must stay close to Jehovah all the way through.
I loved this drama, I couldn't help crying when I watched it. I have a son who was the same age as the brother playing the main character, and I could not get him to attend the convention with me that year. But it was like watching his life of the last few years play before my eyes. I wish this was on DVD, so I could sit my son down and have him watch it. (and I also LOVE the new music with the choral arrangements, what a wonderful gift from Jehovah!)

in sanfransico we have our convention at the cow palace...i dont know if i would like to have an outside convention...it would be too hot in califronia especially since we have it during the summer months (: id still go if it came down to that tho lol
I loved this drama but it was really sad cause the two brothers that were brothers in the drama for ares one of them started to drown and the other went to help and they bolth drowned 2 weeks before the convention and we had to have substitutes a lot of people cried knowing that.

@Xpistos2 Don't get too far ahead of yourself,it's a lot more complex and technical than you think. Blood is still sacred to Jehovah,and we are still to abstain from it,as directed scripturally. Maybe look into it before concluding.

Being in a group wasn't the idea of JW's. Paul and the early Christian Church was a congregation and you'll find worshipers of God in groups throughout the bible.

Nope it does not mean that the whole world is bad. If the whole world was bad, we would not be going on the ministry looking for those with Good Hearts. And we now preach all around the world. To find those, to give them the same hope we have. And by this wicked world and the horrible things that are happening. Shows that we are close. Would u not like to learn more?

Wasn't it great to be part of an event that was young and fresh and realistic. Anyone can go to these events and see for themselves what kind of worship it is. We are free! The TRUTH has set us free. So - expect pressure! This "freedom" we have within is very initmidating to others and some spend their whole energy trying to make us feel unworthy and low just because they don't hvae the same mental attitude we are trying to display in our daily lives.
I was raised as a JW and have fallen away from the truth. This was very inspiring to me because I am missing so much by not being a part anymore. My family are all baptized witnesses and was so moved by this years drama they are all still talking about it.
I'm exactly the same way. Born and raised JW, but I too have fallen. We know even though we are the way we are, Jehovah loves us. ALL of us. We're just lost sheep trying to find a way home. This really is inspiring. I know Jehovah's judgement is always perfect. I know he is disappointed in me, but I know he still loves me. And that's motivation enough.
The BIble does not speek of the day or time scriptures such as Zephaniah speek of the Great day of Jehovah being near but it doesnot say when.Thus we take heed of scriptures such as 1st Peter 5:8 wich says Keep Your senses be watchful your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion...

we had our convention here in Sydney australia last weekend, our attendance was almost 400 not much but the Drama was beautiful, so relatible and touching, and yeah its gonna be hard trying to get used to the new songs huh? we all used to the old ones.
Marshymello: Did anyone like the new songs??! Are you crazy??! Everyone loved them! They are so out of this world! I loved them and everyone did. So cool that all your friends were in the drama! that is so cool! I know the feeling. I had one friend in it and several others from my hall so it was so cool to know most of the people in the drama here, and we had 42,000 people to watch it.
i loved the new songs. I cant wait until next year when we get to sing them :D. And i always wonder, "how are dramas so convincing and sooooooo good all the time?" i hope to meet some of you in some upcoming conventions xD
the past two weeks we came to the kingdom hall an hour before the meeting and practiced som of the new songs, the january-ones. I can tell you that listening to them is amazing, but just wait untill you sing them!
I am going through the same thing right now. I was raised in the truth and I know it is the truth.The world looked good to me when I was going to all the meetings and going out in service. I know now that that was only one of satans ploys to ruin lives. I pray to Jehovah that I can get back on track before it is to late. Please brothers and sisters pray for me.
You do not know how lucky you were to grow up in the truth - I did not know anything about Jehovah until I was a grown woman and my life was going downhill then I started a study then I got baptised went back to my old life style then got reinstated - I am now a proud member of Jehovah's Witnesses - And you should be very much honoured to tell people that you are one of Jehovah's Servants on earth and will continue to do his will
This drama was one of the things that are more spiritual food found in this assembly .... helped many to enable them to return to Jehovah's organization and meditate on what they are doing right now .... and others also helped to enable them to improve spiritually ...

the drama was a good for us the young ones. It made me reflect on what I have right now spiritually. I just had the assembly this weekend and jehovah feed us great.
The pics are great and HQ... I was in the drama as well in that same Convention but on the Spanish side... Such a great experience and exciting. Specially because my character ( Ivan "El Terrible" / "Bad News Al" ) was the craziest and funniest of all... I would do it again, but I don't think it's gonna happend any time soon.... May be in 20 yrs... Jaja... Unless any other Convention Comitee is looking 4 an Ivan or Al... Lol.

I got to play "James, The Older Brother" this year in our Drama. It was a lot of work for months and months and I love to see other interpretations of characters. This was silmilar but everyone has a different twist on certain things. We had the last United States Convention on August 21-23 but they were packing up the "Keep on the Watch" backdrop for shipment to S. America so all of the Conventions are probably not over until September so you may want to be careful posting things like this.
I've seen the Drama 2 times and it made me cry both times. It was a great convention... I love Jehovah with all my heart. Stay faithful my brothers and sisters... May Jehovah continue to bless you.

The drama was a great example of how quickly our lives can descend once we decide to live by our own rules. It was tame in comparison to what many who have left the truth have had to experience, myself included, but I consider this as a PG viewing - one for children and adults alike to enjoy. It's a shame the dialog isn't on here - great footage but those who weren't there will have no idea what is going on. The dialog would serve as a great informal witness. Cheers
It's true what you say, in a way, that it is a shame the dialog is not on there. But I had to balance that against the importance of keeping the drama a secret until everyone has seen it at their convention.
Some people even criticized me for putting up all these photos from the drama.
It's best when the drama releases and drama and things are a surprise to the people at each convention.
I have to agree with you. Excellent pictures, but no dialogue. I don't see any problem with posting this, in fact it might motivate some to make sure they attend their local conventions. It's the best convention I've ever been to.

But I did NOT post the video of the drama and I would never do that. I just posted a video slide show. It is like a trailer. A preview. It is NOT the drama. Don't you agree?

I think that is is okay as long as like she said no video should be posted of the drama. The brothers reminded of this at our convention not to publicly post videos of the drama or talks.
Yeah I used t o have another channel for spiritual stuff but took it down but now I started another. I also have two other channels. One for weather stuff and another for variety.
I am wondering why the video was forbidden ? Such secracy gives the impression that there is something to hide, and yet you speak glowingly of it which gives the opposite impression ! So why this command ?
I think it has to do with copyright. We have nothing to hide. We invite non-Witnesses to our conventions and meetings. In fact we had an invitation that we handed out this year to invite as many as possible to attend.
Also what the person meant by keeping the drama "secret" is for those who have not attended their convention yet. Seeing the drama online would spoil it for them. If a new movie came out would you want people telling you what happens if you wanted to go and see it. That's what we mean.
Second: This in NO WAY negates our Freedom of Choice; in nature one is ALWAYS limited by Natures Laws (which Jehovah created anyway). In the entire Universe, there is NO such thing as ABSOLUTE FREEDOM! The choice is STILL mine; so are the consequences
Third: If you have ever lost a dear one to death, as most have, think of this: The REASON why they are dead is because, long, long time ago, someone reasoned and acted just like you, Adam and Eve. Jehovah warned them of the consequences of acting on their own, They did NOT stop to THINK about what it would DO to others in this case, their CHILDREN! They went on to do what they though was right FOR THEM! They in fact KILLED their children and left US an inheritance of suffering and death.
So you see to turn your back to Jehovah, AFTER learning AND pledging your loyalty to him, is NOT a question of PERSONAL preference; even of hurting your family and congregation friends: It goes against the FUNDAMENTAL question in the UNIVERSE; does God, as THE creator, have the RIGHT to govern upon HIS creation? His ENEMY asserted that he didnt; by OUR deeds, or acts, we PROVE whos RIGHT on this fundamental issue.

I think there's equal happiness in pleasing others as there is in allowing yourself to be happy. Otherwise you are constantly pleasing others for fear of being thought egotistical. Not being happy for someone who has decided that something else makes them feel fulfilled is selfish, in my opinion. I don't believe in me-ism, and I might even believe in being connected to others, but I don't feel as if the connection depends on similar beliefs, as for me there is more to life than believing.
Personally I feel for the people who honestly decide they do not want to remain JW anymore, and decide to pursue other happiness and are DF'ed, and then made to feel as if the suffering of the ones 'left behind' is all their fault! I know what you're going to say: "They caused us pain by deciding to cut off God etc.", but don't you think it's important to decide for yourself what makes you happy?

Fluffyboots: There is more happiness in giving than receiving. Do you believe that? We are happiest when we give and contribute to the lives of others. So if you try to decide for yourself what will make you happy with out consideration to others, it wont work. We are all connected and you can't cut yourself off. To be happy, we must consider how the others around us feel, especially Jehovah. The world believes in "me-ism" and your comment reflects that. Great comment by the way. Not too long.
tht drama was amazing.....i lov how it culd relate to every1...i like the fact tht it was moderen but with an old story behind it. i was ballin:( my ant and uncle are DF'd and have been for 10 years... You know, I made it in a hurry, there were a few errors in the editing / creation of the video and I let them be, if I had known it would be so popular I would have polished out the few errors, hehe, thank you for all the heartfelt and positive uplifting comments.
I dont mind admiting that i was a prodigal son or rather daughter. I learnt quickly that Jehovah's way was rightand better. I got myself hurt and now in a difficult situation. To get baptized i need to sort many things out. And it hurts that I cant properly show Jehovah i care. I love Jehovah. Never again will i turn my back on him. He's too beautiful.

Original Hebrew did not have vowels, so jehovah is a 'latinization' for the tetragrammanton, a close pronunciation for the original name. If you dont want to name him like this. Call him YHWH.. easy friend!

I agree that this drama was excellent as well... I had the pleasure of attending the International 1 in Long Beach CA... For those of you who say you have fallen away, it's not too late to come back. Please either go back to the hall, or contact the local brothers and I know they will be more than happy to help :)

Wasn't it great to be part of an event that was young and fresh and realistic. Anyone can go to these events and see for themselves what kind of worship it is. We are free! The TRUTH has set us free. So - expect pressure! This "freedom" we have within is very initmidating to others and some spend their whole energy trying to make us feel unworthy and low just because they don't hvae the same mental attitude we are trying to display in our daily lives.

I was raised as a JW and have fallen away from the truth. This was very inspiring to me because I am missing so much by not being a part anymore. My family are all baptized witnesses and was so moved by this years drama they are all still talking about it.

I'm exactly the same way. Born and raised JW, but I too have fallen. We know even though we are the way we are, Jehovah loves us. ALL of us. We're just lost sheep trying to find a way home. This really is inspiring. I know Jehovah's judgement is always perfect. I know he is disappointed in me, but I know he still loves me. And that's motivation enough.

The BIble does not speek of the day or time scriptures such as Zephaniah speek of the Great day of Jehovah being near but it doesnot say when.Thus we take heed of scriptures such as 1st Peter 5:8 wich says Keep Your senses be watchful your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion...

we had our convention here in Sydney australia last weekend, our attendance was almost 400 not much but the Drama was beautiful, so relatible and touching, and yeah its gonna be hard trying to get used to the new songs huh? we all used to the old ones.

the past two weeks we came to the kingdom hall an hour before the meeting and practiced som of the new songs, the january-ones. I can tell you that listening to them is amazing, but just wait untill you sing them!

I am going through the same thing right now. I was raised in the truth and I know it is the truth.The world looked good to me when I was going to all the meetings and going out in service. I know now that that was only one of satans ploys to ruin lives. I pray to Jehovah that I can get back on track before it is to late. Please brothers and sisters pray for me.

You do not know how lucky you were to grow up in the truth - I did not know anything about Jehovah until I was a grown woman and my life was going downhill then I started a study then I got baptised went back to my old life style then got reinstated - I am now a proud member of Jehovah's Witnesses - And you should be very much honoured to tell people that you are one of Jehovah's Servants on earth and will continue to do his will

This drama was one of the things that are more spiritual food found in this assembly .... helped many to enable them to return to Jehovah's organization and meditate on what they are doing right now .... and others also helped to enable them to improve spiritually ...

The pics are great and HQ... I was in the drama as well in that same Convention but on the Spanish side... Such a great experience and exciting. Specially because my character ( Ivan "El Terrible" / "Bad News Al" ) was the craziest and funniest of all... I would do it again, but I don't think it's gonna happend any time soon.... May be in 20 yrs... Jaja... Unless any other Convention Comitee is looking 4 an Ivan or Al... Lol.

I got to play "James, The Older Brother" this year in our Drama. It was a lot of work for months and months and I love to see other interpretations of characters. This was silmilar but everyone has a different twist on certain things. We had the last United States Convention on August 21-23 but they were packing up the "Keep on the Watch" backdrop for shipment to S. America so all of the Conventions are probably not over until September so you may want to be careful posting things like this.

The drama was a great example of how quickly our lives can descend once we decide to live by our own rules. It was tame in comparison to what many who have left the truth have had to experience, myself included, but I consider this as a PG viewing - one for children and adults alike to enjoy. It's a shame the dialog isn't on here - great footage but those who weren't there will have no idea what is going on. The dialog would serve as a great informal witness. Cheers

It's true what you say, in a way, that it is a shame the dialog is not on there. But I had to balance that against the importance of keeping the drama a secret until everyone has seen it at their convention.
Some people even criticized me for putting up all these photos from the drama.
It's best when the drama releases and drama and things are a surprise to the people at each convention.

I think it has to do with copyright. We have nothing to hide. We invite non-Witnesses to our conventions and meetings. In fact we had an invitation that we handed out this year to invite as many as possible to attend.

Also what the person meant by keeping the drama "secret" is for those who have not attended their convention yet. Seeing the drama online would spoil it for them. If a new movie came out would you want people telling you what happens if you wanted to go and see it. That's what we mean.

Here is a lost son speaking.. i just got back from my 3rd day of the Keep on the Watch convention.
It was my first convention since an absency of 12 years.
I am so happy i am back in the Kingdom hall, assemblies and now the convention.
The spiritual food was Amazing ,.. Great.
The DVD, the Book about Acts the Bible brochure and the convention program were overwhelming !!!
I thank Jehovah for his theocratic order !!

I think there's equal happiness in pleasing others as there is in allowing yourself to be happy. Otherwise you are constantly pleasing others for fear of being thought egotistical. Not being happy for someone who has decided that something else makes them feel fulfilled is selfish, in my opinion. I don't believe in me-ism, and I might even believe in being connected to others, but I don't feel as if the connection depends on similar beliefs, as for me there is more to life than believing.

Personally I feel for the people who honestly decide they do not want to remain JW anymore, and decide to pursue other happiness and are DF'ed, and then made to feel as if the suffering of the ones 'left behind' is all their fault! I know what you're going to say: "They caused us pain by deciding to cut off God etc.", but don't you think it's important to decide for yourself what makes you happy?

Fluffyboots: There is more happiness in giving than receiving. Do you believe that? We are happiest when we give and contribute to the lives of others. So if you try to decide for yourself what will make you happy with out consideration to others, it wont work. We are all connected and you can't cut yourself off. To be happy, we must consider how the others around us feel, especially Jehovah. The world believes in "me-ism" and your comment reflects that. Great comment by the way. Not too long.

I dont mind admiting that i was a prodigal son or rather daughter. I learnt quickly that Jehovah's way was rightand better. I got myself hurt and now in a difficult situation. To get baptized i need to sort many things out. And it hurts that I cant properly show Jehovah i care. I love Jehovah. Never again will i turn my back on him. He's too beautiful.

I know exactly what you mean about how you can go to Chevy's restaurant and see people at the table next to you celerbrating a birthday and getting one of those hats, haha! I used to go to Chevy's almost every day! I still go on occasion.
