So do you record the piano and drums on the Fantom X and then play along on the Hammond? I read your comment about the drums and is why I was wondering. I thought it was all live music until I read it, drums sounded fine.

Yes, piano, bass, drums, and brass tracks are laid down prior to recording on the Hammond.

Your songs in your videos bring back many warm memories of Pentecost, back in the good ol' days before it was influenced by much of what we call praise and worship music today. Don't get me wrong - I like some of the new stuff, but you can't beat some of these old tunes. You do such a great job!

I agree, I like some of the new music but for the most part I can't seem to accept it because it lacks the power and testimony of the old ones. And usually when we say anything refering to the old style people jump on us and say we're old fashion or not with the times. Its beyond that.

And yet the Bible says "I am the God that changeth not," and in Hebrews, "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever." To me this indicates that our modern trend in music is wrong. The music should not be about pleasing the lusts of the flesh of this present age, but it should be appropriate to worshipping a holy God.....when we return to this principle, we will see revival in the church again (perhaps even true spiritual worship again).

@happycow123 David danced so hard that his clothes fell off. You don't see that happening in churches and yet God was pleased with him. Perhaps what is holding up revival is not how we worship, but that fact that we are hungry for Him and worship Him constantly. But, please, keep your clothes on.

You and I play so much alike that it is amazing. Really, REALLY listen to the drum beat though because you have to follow IT and not the other way around. I know, I have the same problem at times.... Great video as always though!!

Sounds like a new drummer and needs more practice. But still it is a good way to get the drummer to learn. The piano and organ were keeping the beat.

lol, you know I wouldn't post a harsh word about a gospel song and this wasn't meant to be harsh. It just sounded to ME as if the musician wasn't following the beat as closely as he should, but then I was listening to the clip at 4AM after a couple of nights of no sleep and I will have to re-listen to see if yes, perhaps it might have been the DRUMMER who wasn't keeping a steady beat. I thought that it was a DRUM MACHINE though, and those things don't lie. The guy plays great though!

I was the drummer and it was definitely not perfect. In fact, had I reviewed the track before posting, I would have redone it entirely. I use the drum kits and keys on the Fantom X8 to compose the drum tracks. Keep in mind, I am not a drummer at all so I do the best I can. :o)

OMG, then we really do pretty much play EXACTLY alike!! What are the chances of that? I too use a digital recorder and lay down the drums, then bass, then keyboards and then horns, strings, solos or whatever and mix them all down myself! I do the full orchestration MYSELF! Where you ALSO raised in the UPCI or Apostolic church?!! Bet that you were because we are just way too much alike in our style and methods of playing. I've played for Pentecostal churches for 40 years in fact!!
