  • great uplifting music

  • Great quartet music! Loved the Cathedrals. This one's straight and simple - piano, guitar, and vocals. Love it!

  • Please fix the audio, I love this song...need to hear it cranked up^ hehehehe thanks x0x0x0x

  • Cathedrals early 80´s made up...looks like they always sung Old Barbershop Classics like this...

Hm...Glen Looks like in his late 40/early 50 years old, and Kirk looks like 19...how old were they by that time...

  • well you hit the nail on the head with Glen, he should have been in his late 40s cause this is probably sometime in the late 70s. but idk about Kirk he always looked rly young lol

  • early 80's. He would be in his early 50's.

Kirk would be in his early 20's.

  • yeah. it was really early 80´s, Kirk and Mark would be in their early 20´s, while Danny(oops, not in the group yet) would be in his middle 20´s.

Anyway, it couldn´t be late 70´s, because Mark entered the group only in 1980, in 1979, Kirk sung with another lead/baritone...

But, did Kirk sing with Haskel Cooley playing the piano sometime??? and, did they record some album(with the other baritone, of course)??? which one???

  • @brunobelz - Steve Lee is who you are thinking about. Roger Bennett and Kirk joined within months of each other.

I can not remember if they did an album before Roger got there or not ...

Did "Smooth As Silk" have Roger at the piano?

Also, Steve Lee recorded at least a couple of albums with the Cathedrals.

  • @bbyrdhouse I think late '79 Tremble and Webster and Lorne Matthews left to form the Trio before finishing the "Keep on Singing" album. Kirk and Steve Lee finished but Roger did not play on it. I actually asked him about it and Roger said it was Matthews. Steve Lee was gone by July of '80 (that is when Trammell joined) so he was there less than a year and recorded 3 and a half albums. Roger is at the piano for "smooth as silk".

  • Thanks I enjoyed this video...wish the audio was better..could not crank it up! hehehe ;0)

  • wow roger plays the keys off the piano on this song lol

  • Thanks for posting. I enjoy videos of the Cats and had never seen this one.
