Also, the two party system is not in place to compromise a person's vote, it's in place to facilitate the minority's voicing of it's opinions. It allows the possibility (through the electoral college) of a candidate who does not recieve the majority of the votes to win. The irv method would not be a certain elimination to the two party system. The parties dominate on the lower levels simply due to the amount of funding that they control, funding equals advertising and publicity. They win because they can put their candidates into the spotlight.

An admirable idea. I believe people fail to realize that they don't HAVE to affiliate with any party in order to vote. People will be weak, and feel the need to ascociate with a dominant group in order to have any say.
The problem lies on both ends. It's not only the government, but the people that allow the issue to perpetuate. Too few see what's going on, and too few take any action against it.

but if we fix the goverment, what then, there will always be the wealthy and there will always be the poor. Even if you fix the goverment, there will be poor peaple from there bad choices lets say in life(many other possibilities apply) there will always be wealthy and with these two groups makes corruption. Now thats just one thing. What I am saying is, your idea is good, but theres no point in giving it besides just the purpose of sharing it. Its not going to change anything at all

it's not about what i think. you can doubt the US if you want, but you can't doubt it's influence over the world. it's influence is controlled by the president, to a large extent. for example, with a different president, there might never have been this war in iraq.
