Dont know what you mean by big exactly, Its Loud for a Small amp, its not light in weight either, I would check 1 out at a music store, they have a 4- 10 Model also, Nice sound to these amps, Check em out.

No, Not boxy at all, I mean the 2x12 cabs or combos are a fuller sound but to me their Cleaner as well , you can tap a hot channel on any of them but you can smoke these, ( heat the tubes) because their only 40 watts, The 2x12 combos or stacks are usually pushed by 100 Watts, You gotta play an Arena to Crank those. these are great amps, again I would check them out if you can,CARL

Yeah its a Hot Rod deluxe 40 Watt, sounds Great , cant beat the tube sound, Transisters kill the tone and fullness of the sound of the guitar,I own one also but Prefer the Hot Rod tube amp.
