Beautiful spiccato! As I know, this is an arrangement by Piatigorsky, unfortunately I don't know the original. However, it's too agressive for Haydn. The guy seems to be full of Russian vodka... or whatever.

I heard these guys play live (including this piece) a decade ago. It is still fresh in my mind. It was one of the most exciting concerts I've ever heard!!

I have NOTHING against this performance, the cellist is obviously incredible. I just want to say that as a disclaimer before my next comment. It is AMAZING that he can play the piece this fast, but IN MY OPINION, it's almost too fast. It almost sounds cartoonish or something. I respect for the perfection of this piece though! It's difficult!
