  • @moarfan5678 Yeah, after this hip hop started changing, to be honest people started listening to things like Jay-Z with that..."Jigga what, Jigga who..." featured by Amil, and that's when underground started really having a struggle with the mainstream. The raw was really disappearing. I remember tracks like Heltah's Skeltah's "Operation Lockdown" , and it was so real to me, but then I'd hear Jay-Z and that commercialized shit. A and R s are playing games with the underground, and I hate it.

  • still remember the time...real mcs, real djs, real music, real hiphop

  • could be worst, we could all be peice of bird shit aka craker honkey pecker wood trailor park trash, 35 year olds living in our mothers basements having sex with our relatives while getting high on meth, coke, extacy, salvia, perks, oxycotin etc.... white people are the scum of the earth!

  • man im in med school school now and this just helps me get through it i swear to god this is something else...pharoe monch talib mos def gangstarr and rappers and music like that is so so needed right now..word

  • Jesus, I didn't know Hip-Hop could get this real! It's sort of hard to believe that just in 1999 I was only six years old. Time flies by so fast...

  • Word!!..

  • the eye seeing stuff on 31 sec is definitely the New World Order/ Illuminati, yes it exists it is on the dollar bill, everyone should know about it, heck even Britney Spears and Paris Hilton know about it, they work for them.

  • to me, this song is one of the many that personifies hip-hop at it's prime.

hip hop today is SH*T and i couldn't be any less bothered with what you think either.

there's always an exception to the rule but for the most part today's hip-hop is all commercialized garbage and that's the bottom line.

and it really breaks my heart: it's like watching your first true love turn tricks on the corner

disagree? get a clue and wake up already.

  • rip harold

  • Whats up with the all seeing eye at 0:31???

  • it's like Allah see's everything yet this world has eyes as well u know satellite cameras everywhere on corners in schools etc. Sadat is a 5%er not sure about Common these days but that pyramid and all see-ing is a symbol for the New World Order and many so called secret societies. peace

  • sickkk asss trackkk!

  • sadat reminds me of devin the dude.

  • hip hop is back type in antonio and peep out my videos tell me what yall think.more videos comin soon

  • His voice reminds me exactly of Herb McGruff

  • lawl u r teh funnay

  • haha good joke! made me smile

  • your joking right

    i hope so

or u just got a fucked up brain

naive, ridiculous, idiot you must be

  • You're right actually. Most people who don't know hip-hop don't want to know that Common and Kweli respect 50 Cent as a peer (Kweli is friendly with Fiddy), or the Roots having Tony Yayo as a drinking/weed buddy. If you don't understand the essential absurd unity and commraderie of these artists beneath the media hype, you don't know hip-hop.

  • CLASSIC

  • R.I.P MR.HUNTER....Do u see that North FACE...Classic NYC fashion..Classic video and song !

  • why dus sadat remind me of a young dave chapelle haha....great track

  • R.I.P. Harold Hunter the man walking with talib in the beginning.

  • What happened?

  • some get range rovers some religions change over angel on my main shoulder tellin' me remain sober...

  • haha, yea, but the song's message by itself is great

  • some get range rovers, some religions change-over, angel on my shoulder tellin' me to remain sober. that's word. that's a verse that burn in Shawn Carter's head and Will and Jada Smith's heads too.

    Peace from Germany.....

  • At the time of soundbombing 2 I personally thought it was mostly mainstream corperate type shit, But you're right anything being played on the radio/MTV nowadays aint got shit on this track.

  • There was no Bling Bling no cars nothing and no designer clothes...Nas was right, HIP HOP is Dead...

  • Nas was wrong Hip Hop is still alive just a shame that most is comercial rap bullshit like lil wayne but there are still real artists out there in the underground, and of course Common

  • yeah i agree, no matter how much rap commercializes its self, there will still be real artists and underground hip hop will still be alive

  • yes it will!

  • Hip hop is not dead. It lives through us. Don't be discouraged. Hip hop is for intelligent people and most rap fans are dumb which is why hip hop is over their head

  • true true. chack out my video. is about polish reality so maybe will be hard to understanding for U :) but is real and straight from my crazy soul :) this is my way to keep hip hop alive :)

    peace4all oneLove

  • Id say if sadat x looked like ne famous person it b devin the dude. but then again really not really.

  • great classic..:) peace

  • Hi-Tek had 1 hard ass beat here Hi-Tek is one of the best producers ever in history
