@phildd0t it's mostly due to compression (drive+Ross) and the fact that Trey's guitar is hollow making it more prone to feedback. Most guitar players know that you can control feedback by simply turning a few degrees. It can be the difference between no feedback, uncontrolable nasty feedback, or rich singing feedback that the note blooms into. Some guitar players mark a spot on the stage with tape, to mark their "feedback spot."
