  • love Kubelik!

  • BRAVISIMO

  • bravo!

  • Maravillosa!

  • Too bad that Youtube's 10-minute limit forces to edit a masterpiece like this one.

  • bellissima

  • I wish there was a video recording of this, so one could see the interesting choreography mahler wrote into the piece

  • Wow, we are just starting this, and I'm so exited!

  • Symphonie-Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks

  • The cartoon is an insult to Mahler, in case you didn't understand it's meaning.

We can only wonder what Beethoven's 10th would have sounded like. If, like his other even numbered symphonies, probably light and breezy.

Mahler's 10th, we have a glimpse of in the completion. After the sadness and darkness of the 9th and 10th, he may well have given us another piece of choral brilliance, as he did after the darker 6th and 7th symphonies with the magnificent 8th.

  • The music is wonderful. Don't really get the cartoon at the start, what is it trying to say? I don't really know a great deal about Mahler and this is his only symphony i really enjoy listening to.

  • Kubelik conducts it soooo bad!!

  • this is gold! the french horns are amazing. and oh my god listen to the strings starting at 7:35, that ruined every other mahler 1 for me and set this one above the rest

  • @veyronb256 really? this is your favorite? Personally, I was a little disappointed with his interpretation, but that might be because I've played this piece a certain way and prefer it like that.

  • Epic horn at 7:05 - 8:50! It will let you cry!

  • At 7:20 - 7:35 I can't hold back the tears of joy.

  • very very good!!!

  • magnificent ... this leaves me at a loss for words

  • Thank you

  • Excellllent!! It's difficulte.

  • The gold standard performance of Mahler's first
