I've just finished reading your book, it broke my heart and I cried non-stop, no one should ever have to go through anything that you have. You are such an amazing woman, so brave, it's incredible. You are a true inspiration for anyone going through abuse, and I'm gutted that the system failed you. I'm glad you're now free to make a difference, keep your chin up, you are truly amazing!
Hi stacey i have just finished reading ur book and im disscusted that the system let u down the way it did and u had to spend 18 years in prison. What happened to u should never happen to anyone let alone a child and u became an amazing women due to ur poor upbringing. U are truely a good woman who has made ur negotives into possitives Im sorry u were let down but im so happy that u are bringing good to what was once so bad xx
Stacey You Are Truely An Inspiration , I cried reading your book so much hurt and you still carried on, you have came so far in your life and you should walk tall with your head head high... xxx
There are 2 people that I came in contact with, in prison, that I actually felt as if they didn't deserve to be there, or they didn't deserve to stay forever. You Stacy, you gave me hope. I prayed for you, while incarcerated, and after. I even called all friends and family to watch Oprah. I was so happy to see you out of Vandelia, You deserve a life outside of closed doors. God bless you.
Such a strong brave woman! Your book was an eyeopener to what goes on in some peoples houses. So glad you eventually got out. Enjoy your life on the outside now that your free from your demons! God bless you Stacey xx
@amourjazzmusique bloody well said! i had to take the time to have a go too, made me shake with anger. what a total ignorant low life! good on ya mate!
This remarkable woman deserves nothing but praise. After all she went through, she has found forgiveness and after spending half of her life in prison she is more switched on than most people in this world. One thing i will say, if you have not read her book, you have NO right to comment on this page. This woman has been through hell and is now dedicating the rest of it by helping others, rather than forgetting. What an inspiration you are Stacy Lannert.
Thank you Lord... I am glad she forgave her father and herself, that is true freedom and that is what Jesus calls us to do... Thanks Lord for this human...
Wow, I agree - what a brave woman. I had heard about her story some years ago. Stacey has been through so much - I can not even imagine! I just got finished reading a 2006 interview transcript she did with Nancy Grace & the part where her mother was interviewed upset me terribly! Sorry, but her mother is just as guilty as the father. Her mother knew what was going on, but left Stacey & her sister in her father's care & went off to live with another man! Her own mother didn't even protect her
@paigeelainemoran you condescending low life idiot. How dare you? You cannot spell, let alone comprehend the torture this woman faced. Take a look at your own religion and ask "why did you not teach me to spell and use grammar correctly?" Then look at more serious matters. Never look at this page again, you do not have the right. Yours Truely.
@beccabucket88 obviously you dont know this person like i do, have you ever met her? have you lived with her? well i have and shes a bullshitter. and i would know cuz my mom was in prison with her, so i could care less what the hell you think, so take ur stankey comment and shove it where the sun dont shine. and p.s dont tell me wat to do, its a free country :) OHHH! and YOURS TRUELY!
so ur telling me that if you were a female and a man raped you, beat you, and even shot you but missed a vital organ by a cm and if you somehow gather enough energy to take his gun and shoot him that u should be shot as well?? Damn there are definitely some F***** up people in America and you are definitely one of them. I will definitely pray for you tonight.
That is very powerful to realize that even in a life without freedom, you have the free will to make small choices every day, and to appreciate that against everything that you cannot do.
Stacy, it's Kim Francis! I'm so happy for you, if there's anything i can do to help just call me 573 224 3345. I am disabled and have lots of time on my hands. Please if i can help in any way you have it.

@domram12 A child molestor is a person who molest a child. A person who molests a child should be shot.

@pdomram12 I feel anyone that kills or abuses someone should be punished accordingly regardless of their race or gender.

I think any woman that kills a man should be put to death regardless of the circumstances.
