The achilles tendon which the calf muscles (soleus, gastrocnemius) are attached to is such a tricky area! My uncle snapped his playing volleyball and my athletic idol Adam Copeland "The Edge" also had a similar injury, I wonder if he recuperated it with the aid of techniques like these.
what i was gonna say was im in great need for that exact massage as i have played many football games in short times which has made my hamstring muscles are extremely tight and become painful at times and also both my gastrocnemius and my achilles tendon muscles have been kicked and tightened up, so watching tis video makes me want to book an oppointment for one!
Dear minipidgeon. thank-you for nice comment. please view
my sports self treatment youtube clips. I am explaining nature of injuries and necessity for rehabilitation efforts from overtraining. just book an appointment or purchase myself treatment DVD#5.
I am currently enrolled in a massage therapy school which specializes in injury treatment and am curious about your techniques.
I have watched several of your videos and it appears as though your pressure is always light and superficial, especially based on the fast speed in which you perform your strokes.
Do you ever employ deep tissue techniques? On a scale of 1-10, 1 being very light and 10 being excruciating, what pressure do you typically use?
As well, I am very impressed with your knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology and can only aspire to someday retain as much as you. Muscle origins, insertions, and sometimes actions are still eluding me a bit...
A thing that by watching it is difficult to do assessments on pressure as well to judge if it superficial mobilization or deep tissue mobilization. as well impossible to use 1-10 scales for a pressure applications.: "Pressure should be significant but not to activate pain analyzing system" professor Popelansky. you should purchase my DVD#12 where I present easy to perform 4 strategies for deep massage. strong pressure doesn't mean deep mobilization.
Dear Boris, I am fairly young and might choose to become a massage therapist when i am older, your videos have been an inspiration to me and i hope that i might be able to be half as good as you one day.
Dear arsonistburn. somehow to influence people decisions about career is a great deal of privilege.thank you. please remember that medical massage is a scientifically developed healing art. therefore human factor is a crucial to reach results in healing of sick persons. pure memorization of anatomy, physiology and pathology will not contribute to your capabilities to heal. understanding and hands-on practice is the right way. never settled on" feels good" only. Best wishes.
Main duty of lymphatic system is disposal of toxic metabolic products.Massage does, but not very significant increase lymphatic drainage into blood circulation. which means increased amount of toxins in blood. this fact can cause nausea, headaches ets. this kind reaction on massage should not be viewed as a negative phenomena but positive detoxification benefits. for more information you welcome to view "lymph drainage for detoxification"clip Best wishes.Boris

Is it possible for some people to get sick after a massage because of the toxins that get moved around?
