It seems like it would take longer for the wiimote to send a message to the computer, the software to receive it, the computer to make the infrared tower send a message, and for one of the RCXs to receive it. but I guess that that can happen faster than I thought.
thats pretty cool. it looks like something fun to give a couple kids to play with to keep them busy. they could be like sumo wrestlers and try to push the other one out of a ring
wow great idea. the RCX uses infared alredy and so does the wiimote right. soooo why do you need it to go to the computer first? is it to calibrate it to the RCX standards?
don't wii remotes use a combination of Bluetooth and Inferred?

The wiimote has an IR-Cam. It can only see the IR lights ;)
You need a computer because the wiimote talks with it over bluetooth and the computer over IR with the RCX's.
