it really is so refreshing to listen to someone who knows what their talking about in a clear and detailed way. Im hoping one day richard will venture back to the UK and maybe do some seminars or a one to one as his youtube vids really are such an inspiration.
Great videos buddy, well done and very informative. One question that I'd like to ask maybe you can help me. As an alpha male of the group, I want to get a close friend to stop doing a particularly self destructive behavior, in that doing it can only do himself harm, not literally like physical harm but just bad decisions. Do I convey that it get's me upset and that he should stop? Or try to be more understanding? or do I just leave it alone?
so your feeding off fear? thats genius. prey upon the weak so you gain more power. didnt the same thing. for no reason at all i attacked a guy smaller than me and drop him. that stopped my fear.
Very good. I learnt this by going without sleep for ten nights. My brain became hyperactive. I could change personality at the click of a finger and get inside other peoples minds, recognising subliminal images on the tv etc. Sense of smell increased tenfold,my hearing became more acute, visual capacity doubled.like a trip back to primaeval man,an advanced modern day synthesis of savage and evolved man.Changing our personality is a key to survival and is inherent in human biology for survival
I don't agree that the only way to deal with fear is creating a "suprastate" that is aggressive. I think it is a major problem in our society when we get into these states. Sure, it is effective in letting one attain a level of power when otherwise they would be in a place of fear, but look at the big picture. It's two different sides of the same coin. If one is changing from the victim to the aggressor, then you are just becoming that which you cannot stomach in your place of fear.
Understanding that aggression and the need to control are really a forms of fear/insecurity, one can see that it may not yield the result you wish in the long run to become it. We control our world and choosing to go on the offensive become a victim are choices we all have. What I'm saying is there is another option. You can look at it as though not accepting the 'gift' of aggression or control one presents you as a Buddhist might.
From a military or black-ops perspective, this training seems optimum for creating ultimate warriors. In my opinion, from a moral view, it seems counterproductive. We are constantly conditioned by governments/media to have disdain for our neighbor and fear our masters. This, I believe, plays right into their hands.
Agreed. Being prepared in a dire situation is important, yes. I just think about someone using this technique with good intentions and then almost looking for another to set them off. My advice is a bit hypocritical being that I've always innately snapped into this supra state in the past moving instantly from fear to aggression. It makes a lot of sense to me what you say. Had I been trained better in restraint, however, I definitely would have avoided a lot of confrontation in my lifetime.
I kind of hope that people will follow the same path I did, you come into it frightened looking to redress the balance created by your fear and insecurites, but you dont really progress unless you start clearing up your act, becoming more self aware and growing personally
so I hope that through learning this stuff, maybe people will do the same, learn it, grow from it, then ultimately maybe transcend it and set it aside?
sounds pretentious and pseudoesoteric, but thats what I hope.
what about a d.a.r.p.a. lie detector test? a whole different thing! they know your escape route as you think of it. subconcious speed of thought. a whole new area of mind wars. 25 years of being a punching bag on many levels. I'm tired, I want to go home.. can't they took that too! feds wouldn't give me a safe house they just wanted to beat me up in the streets. Now I hope they all get arrested for what they did. It would have been nice to have gotten this advise b4 all the years!
Thank god I discovered Richie Grannon. I'm just waiting for the funds to transfer into my paypal account and then I'm getting this. I just turn to jelly in a fight, man... my mind just automatically thinks it can't handle it.
ive been doing mma for years now ive done almost everything im doing muay thai now ive trained with somwe crazy people everyone tells me im a crazy fighter and a nutter im 16 yet i dont have confidence? i need it help
in the middel of your vid you say "can you feel skillfull" and you said "yes you can" I'm thinking: your not making people feel skillfull when there not are you ? I train muay thai I just got my splits down and can kick to the head without any problems I feel skillfull about that ( not bragging) when you make somebody feel skillfull you put him up against somebody how can kick to the head and he can't ... the guy you made fill skillfull his balls will shrink
That is the most interesting and coherent video I've seen on you tube with regards to the psychology of war (it might be a fight-but to your mind it's still a war) for a very long time....
About time someone realised and address the issue of mindset from a self defence perspective.
the idea of cultivating a persona a supra state that possesses the attributes you need in a situation is GREAT! But for the purpose of violence, a persona is fail. Focus on Supra states for success, for performance, for financial freedom. for attraction.
Nonviolence is the person who dies in violent encounters, because its hard to carry a cop ,and staying away is only good if you,re drawing a weapon to kill the sob,IF you know what you are doing close and take an aggressor off the streets for good! Personaly I love peace but I pack and would move away and do the easiest thing (I,d shoot that sob untill he is dead! )Try living in the real world!
I have found that keeping strangers at least at an arms length distance is very effective in avoiding the sucker punch. That usually gives space to evade. I stay in shape, etc and know some martial arts, but I genuinely hate real violence. Keeping the distance and circling sideways avoids the person's line of attack. Inside fighting is the least desirable. Staying out of range is preferable. When the other person slips up, then it's important to try to get them off balance and finish it.
Sounds great but do you really want to get rid of fear? Fear makes you faster and strike harder and sometimes dont feel pain...that is what moder nature has given you to be able to survive. Fear works as a motivation to fight for your life, and with that "fight for your life power" is really great. Maybe I've missed something or missunderstood, if so please enlight me!!
Ur opinion is true, but ther are some ppl who have excessive amount of fear which brings disaster to them, so this video would help those kind of ppl to reduce their fear, in other word this video would be suitable for those with a faint of heart. No offence :)
fear makes you strike harder but it also drives all the skills and techniques you have out of your mind... you'll be swinging wildly just like any other brawler and of course if you have trained, you'd want your skills here...that's my take on the topic
my problem has been staying in my violent supra state permananetly as a way to be prepared for conflict, after watching this i realize the stupidity of that and learned that i should switch between states
this may help with my fear after all thank you.. can this also help with a counter aggressive state? Because I see what you mean about the supra state.. I'll explore this, and train my states of intelligence, and aggression. But is it like an alter ego? no right? is it like a zone in the psyche?
I thought that this would be bollocks, but it's actually really, really interesting and important. One thing about adopting an aggressive persona, this isn't just about the good guys. I've seen hard men, bad people, move from a normal state, psyching themselves up, in order to inflict violence. I see a lot of their verbal build up as a means to access the type of violent alter ego this guy is talking about. Great video! Thanks.
As an American, I can say that I associate the definition of "aggression" more closely with the way it is described here, i.e. "nastiness" than I would with "drive towards a goal." The latter definition would better fit the term "assertiveness."
Hmm.. Agree 100% as far as Martial Arts instructors not knowing thier psychology.. Many will give you all the tools you need and hone your body but the mind is very different, learning to control your reaction to adrenaline, awareness of surroundings, judgin your opponent and of course intimidating them (to varying degrees). Great channel - just found it and subscribed - I certainly wouldn't mess with this fellow!
omg you know about MKULTRA! wow i under estimated ur knowledge mate!
Those sick people behind MKULTRA needs to be arrested. So many people that got kidnapped and was done experiments on them and tested drugs on them too.
But thankyou for using NLP to teach people how to protect themselves. That can only benefit humans
this is some of the most intelligent Combative Psychology material out there- I heard Deepak Chopra saying that in some cases of MPD differnt personailities have different i.q.'s and different allergies! all based on beleif and psychological persepctive amazing
These videos are excellent. However, the background noise is very distracting. It sounded like there was a heard of lawnmowers outside the window which at one point attacked a small child.
then once they finally hunted down teh children they cleaned up the mess and speed off as you hear later little timmy had no idea wat kinda of shit he was in

DTK5689 2 years ago
I agree with pretty much everying you've said... but your suggestion for an alternative option is not realistic in the face of immediate raw violence
many warrior cultures are also bhuddist and also trained through meditation to deliver violence in altered states of consciousness
there is NOTHING in buddhism that says you should idly stand by and let a person harm you or your loved ones
BUT, yes, I agree it plays into the hands of the government agenda of fear as you say

Actually idea or mind ''mapping'' is scientifically correct . Try educating yourself before accusing someone being a liar or stupid.
