I love Johnny Marr, and everything he touches turns to gold, but honestly, I really do miss the trio days of The Cribs. Sometimes even adding a good ingredient can change the taste to something different, and though it tastes good, you REALLY had your mouth set on the previous flavor. I like their later sounds, and I still think The Cribs are awesome, but their older kinda "three brothers in a gargage" sound like this is where it's at for me.

This band is so mundane and sounds like so many other bands. Why are they so popular? I guess because so much new music is so crappy that people don't know any better. Johnny Mar? Yeah, great guitar player but with music like this you could substitute any guitar player and nobody would be the wiser.

I saw this lot at The Vines in Leeds about 3 years ago, and they've been my favourite band ever since, possibly to the point of obsession. I always listen to them before a night out and I still adore the first album...though not the first track, which is uncharacteristically awful.
