@Xarjin It might surprise you to know that Country artists write a lot of the more traditional "pop" music that's out today. Some of the best songwriters in the world are predominantly country but write for other people.

My main genre is Alt Rock, but I have massive respect for Country artists. If you were a musician you might understand this.

As far as I know, and correct me if im wrong, but her country didnt have a horrible reputation like america for racism (to some extent). They didn't have the KKK and a seperate but equal policy for African decents, as far as I know. And to be honest, I didn't think the video was racist at all. I think people are over analyzing it. Its just a music video.

If you listen to the lyrics, you'll hear blue eyes mentioned in there several times. There are many other videos that have far more serious and disgusting things in them, and no one except 'corrupt' groups boycotts them. I've watched the whole video, and listened to the song, and it isn't racist.

No one's voice is more versatile than anyone else's. As someone studying Music Theory, I know that no one "can't sing". Everyone can sing. You think that Florence's voice is more "versatile" than Adele's is that Adele writes in different key signatures than Florence does. Also, Adele and Florence started at the same spot. I've seen them both live, and they are different in their own ways. Adele just recently shot up to popularity, which isn't surprising. That may be why you 're biased.
