There is no replacement for discplacement, the Raptor 700 is probably the easiest quad on the market to unlock ponies from. The YFZ 450 isn't going to get much faster than stock, the 700 on the other hand is pretty easy to get to 60-70hp on stock bore since it's so restricted from the factory.
Stock to stock a 450 of any make can not beat a renegade with the same rider weight/ skill and both bikes running a perfect run. I don't even like renegades theyre like a utility quad not a sport quad.
You are correct that more cc don't mean faster or more power. I have a Raptor 700 that can beat a stop 450 depending on who's driving or the hole shot advantage. The only thing my Raptor has over the 450 is torque and gas millage. I can lug the raptor all day long and do the same as the 450 when he has to keep shifting and running the RPM's up when I can lug the Raptor and save gas. Plus the 450 is made for racing and the Raptor is made for the trails or sands etc not racing.

With this type of race, it would be all about the skill of the rider on the Raptor. If he can hit his shifts perfectly, he's gonna win. But with the Renegade's CVT you can run much more consistent runs. Now, the Renegade has more power, but it's also heavier, and you lose more power through the drive train with a CVT due to it's slippage. I think both machines would be fun, but for what I like the ride the Renegade would be so much more fun, and that's coming from a Grizzly owner
@YoJoe4368 I agree it would be a fast quad, but you have to look at the features the can-am brings to the table. The main thing is Comfort and Versatility. Also, it is also the riders preference. I am 6'5, and me being on a raptor is not how i want to trail ride... With my knee's in my face... So the can-am fits my profile, you might be a little different. Can-am is expensive. If yamaha made the same quad with the same options it would cost the same if not more. So why not enjoy a can-am?
The renegade is a trail beast, I've rode one in the trails and its amazing, very comfy and great power. I got a 700xx and I love my quad but the gade is better in the trails. Although the 700xx is a great trail machine also, more fun than the gade, I love shifting and you can use the 700xx in a sand pit. While the gade in a sand pit is not in its place, its heavy and feels more like a utility quad.

Amazing how everybody thinks rheres is the best. I owned a raptor, grizzly and canam oulander two seater. Absolutly nobody could dragrace the outlander on dirt or tar. Then we get to the mud and i was kept busy pulling everybody out. Get to the rocks and had to wait for them and then did long outrides and was the most comfortable. We did a ride of 1000km through mozambique. Outlander the king!!!
The only reason this race was close was because of the starting on loose dirt the 4x4 was able to stay close, get on traction surface and its goodbye buddy, ive seen it , cause ive done it
I know a guy that weighs about 270 approx and he owns a '09 800 renegade all it has is an hmf pipe and he can smoke kids that are only like 160 on 660 raptors and stuff all day its great.
I own a raptor 700 and I love it but I can see myself getting a renegade someday as it is 4x4. They are still quick for what they are but traction comes down to who won the races in the vid. I would think the raptor would have a higher top speed than the renegade but I could be wrong. I had my raptor at 125km/hr (78miles/hr) on a GPS but not really sure the top speed of the renegade.

I am actually suprised that people would talk bad about the renegade. A sport bike with a nice seat, four-wheel drive when you need it and the speed to hang with your friends 700 raptors. If you own a raptor then you know how hard the seat is when riding. The renegade was made for comfort and versatility. If you want to hang with the "U-Bikes", you can at the flip of a button. Also, you don't wear your hand and ankle out shifting gears.Give the renegade the credit it is due.

My friends and I trail ride every weekend, when we first started the guys that had the raptors, YZF 450's, polaris predator 500, were exhausted by the end of the weekend. I own a 2011 Can Am Outlander LTD (which is the blue one) and a 2011 Can Am Renegade (White with custom blue to match my Outlander) By the end of the weekend i felt great, the suspension, power, and comfort i got from my ride was far better than those other bikes.

The renegade is a trail beast, I've rode one in the trails and its amazing, very comfy and great power. I got a 700xx and I love my quad but the gade is better in the trails. Although the 700xx is a great trail machine also, more fun than the gade, I love shifting and you can use the 700xx in a sand pit. While the gade in a sand pit is not in its place, its heavy and feels more like a utility quad.

Amazing how everybody thinks rheres is the best. I owned a raptor, grizzly and canam oulander two seater. Absolutly nobody could dragrace the outlander on dirt or tar. Then we get to the mud and i was kept busy pulling everybody out. Get to the rocks and had to wait for them and then did long outrides and was the most comfortable. We did a ride of 1000km through mozambique. Outlander the king!!!

I own a raptor 700 and I love it but I can see myself getting a renegade someday as it is 4x4. They are still quick for what they are but traction comes down to who won the races in the vid. I would think the raptor would have a higher top speed than the renegade but I could be wrong. I had my raptor at 125km/hr (78miles/hr) on a GPS but not really sure the top speed of the renegade.

I am actually suprised that people would talk bad about the renegade. A sport bike with a nice seat, four-wheel drive when you need it and the speed to hang with your friends 700 raptors. If you own a raptor then you know how hard the seat is when riding. The renegade was made for comfort and versatility. If you want to hang with the "U-Bikes", you can at the flip of a button. Also, you don't wear your hand and ankle out shifting gears.Give the renegade the credit it is due.

My friends and I trail ride every weekend, when we first started the guys that had the raptors, YZF 450's, polaris predator 500, were exhausted by the end of the weekend. I own a 2011 Can Am Outlander LTD (which is the blue one) and a 2011 Can Am Renegade (White with custom blue to match my Outlander) By the end of the weekend i felt great, the suspension, power, and comfort i got from my ride was far better than those other bikes.

You guess wrong, it is not a bullshit turbo raptor. it is nearly stock and would walk your renegade because i actually know how to drive it. By the way, it is fast. I will "switch" gears all day flying by your slow ass. My hand has never gotten cramps from from the clutch because i am not a pussy. At the end of the day my ass, ankle, and hands also feel wonderful. Thank you for wasting my time with your response dumbass..

@KillBoxR32 the camera was my phone.i live i town ride on my friends land in the country. i am running the pro-flow kit with the lid on as of right now so there is hardly any more air flow than stock to affect the efi, so i do not need a power commander. And yes the pipe and commander are out of my budget for now because i pay rent and go to college so i can be much smarter and make more money than you. The plan is to eventually get the commander and exhaust to go along with the pro flow. so my budget isn't wasted. im not cutting on can am, their good quads. and yea im gonna listen to your advice. i just found your comment on fatigue due to shifting a little far fetched and got carried away with it
