However King Arthur as they call him let this go on and he know of the threats of the riot and left his fellow workers their to fend for themselves knowing he was the reason. I dont justify killings at all and zinspector I agree with you totally. and let me add it had to be serious if black leaders and white leaders form together to be heard when my father told me that races were sticking with races when he first got there. so for them to form as one you tell me thats not serious...yeah right

Those men that started riot wrote the governor they cut off their fingers and sent it to the governor trying to let them know they were serious about the abuse they were submitted. No one has a right to abuse and kill anyone and they have been letting it go on for years. Just because they are inmates doesnt make a difference they are still someones loved someones father someones brother and etc. I pray for the healing for Mrs. vallandingham and the 9 inmates. lives that shouldnt have been lost

My father did not start the riot nor was he among the 400 and something that was in the riot but he was there and he saw it unfold before his very eyes. he was able to get into his cell dorm before he was injured or killed like the others but i know it changed his life forever. My dad never promoted violence but he had made a mistake that landed him there but he as well as others do not deserve any abuse. the jail is for rehabilitation not for abuse. maybe you need to do research

skates is a very out there guy...... hes the ring leader of it but still denies it to this day.. inmates are very dumb and deserve to stay locked up cause they think fighting and killing is a way to get things done rather if they say there not guilty way they behave they might as well be

@jakebradshaw00 fuck you. I was in luke from 2006 to 2008 when i went to o.s.p. for knocking out a punk ass c.o. that was corrupt and always fucking with the prisoners. Maybe you should blame the actions of the employs for the consequences that WE submit on the vile officers.

@poetictragedy05 I hate pompous ignorant people who TRY to make people believe that the C.O.s are innocent people. People employed by the correctional system are the foulest people there are. By the way, I know some of the guys in the riot, from what I heard the officer cried and begged. I guess the so called "man" didn't go out with any ounce of "manhood" left.

The people who put this together are almost as bad as the inmates they glorify. They all owe an apology to the family members of the prison guard who was murdered in the 93' riot.

Yea be proud of yourselves glorifying a clan of hardened convicts who killed a guard and other inmates. Want to see the real story look at the damage done and lives lost and changed over what? Phone calls, commissary and TB testing what a worthy cause to take lives. Find a worthwhile cause to promote not those who are sent behind prison walls for a reason!

@byner44 it is a worth while cause. Just look at all the mistreatment of prisoners that goes on, myself included. I know 3 of the men involved with the Lucasville riot while i was in O.S.P. I've also been in Lucasville and know that ALL of the people that work their are the FOULEST people on the planet. Any human being would see the riot of these brave men as a worthy cause, only another corrupt prison employ would be against what these fine men did. White and black united against corruption.
